We are going to DL next June, and I wanted to surprise our family, there are about 10 of us going. Half haven't seen Fantasmic. I wanted to do something special and book/pay for the dessert package. Can anyone tell me how much it is, and what they have? I know they have hot Choco, but do they also have coffee??

Not sure about the coffee, but the price is $59 for adults and $49 for children.

Drinks include coffee, tea, hot chocolate, cold drinks (coke etc), water. The dessert boxes are really large and include mini cheesecake, chocolate cake, cookie, a lemon tart, 2 chocolate truffles, cheeses, crackers, and fruit. We did the dessert pakage in September and really enjoyed it.

FWIW, the desserts you get are not what is valuable. It is the seats.

You may find something useful here:

I found it after I posted Hydro, thanks! And I know what you mean about the seats...we learned about waiting on the sidelines for the first show to end and then swooping in to claim our seats for the second when we were there in 2010. But with DD who is going to be 9 months when we go, this late show won't work, plus a couple people in our party are older so I want to make it the best experience possible.

I'm an AP and I had never even heard about a dessert package for Fantasmic! How do I go about getting it, and are kids 2 and under free? Some lousy AP I must be to not know about this, especially since Fantasmic is so amazing...

We've done it several times and enjoy it thoroughly. I recommend it.

The only complaint I have is that even after you book it in advance, they will want you to show up at riverside a pre-assigned time hours in advance of the show to get your seat "assignments." A line forms to get good seat assignments about an hour prior to the check-in time that they give you. So, even after reserving your tickets, you will have to go to riverside a couple hours early and stand in line for about an hour to get a really good seat.

After you stand in line for your assignment, are you free to go around the park until closer to show time?

Yep. But if you have an the 9:00 show you won't have much time. The crowds are tough to maneuver if you wander too far. I was in line for seat assignments at 6:45 for the 9:00 showing. I was third in line. We had a group of ten and I wanted to keep us together as best as possible. By 8:05 I had our seats and wandered over to meet our group at POC. By the time they got off and we walked back it was 8:30. We got seated and received our dessert boxes and got our drinks and the fireworks began. Less than 10 minutes after that, F! began. IMO, this was the best splurge we did on our trip!!

HydroGuy - Thanks so much! That's just what I needed... I had always seen the reserved seating area, but had just assumed you could only sit there if you paid for certain tours or were a Club 33 member.

Here's a tip someone here informed me of! (AFTER I returned home LOL)

It's a little difficult to juggle the tray and your drink at the same time, and reaching down for your drink is kind of hard sometimes because the chairs in front of you are so close. Apparently if you move the grapes, it's the perfect little area for a drink! (I don't know if this applies to cups, cans AND bottles of water, but it's worth a shot.)

I feel like I need to pass this info on to everyone because it would've really helped me at the time.

Yup...the cans of soda, coffee and hot chocolate cups water all fit there!...usually the servers mention that trick when you get your items.

Unfortunately our servers seemed like rookies. LOL They didn't know where our seats were without consulting the map, which was fine, but it just seemed like something you'd know if you'd been doing it for awhile. So yeah, no tip about the cup holder!
