Having just seen chipscinderelly's post and the fact that I LOVE fantasmic, can you still do these dessert parties and if so do they cost the same as illuminations?:)

One thing to remember about Fantasmic! is that it's only shown twice a week now - I believe it's on Tuesdays and Thursdays - except for in high season.

Fantasmic! has a food and beverage minimum of $750 and a venue-rental fee of $250 for each of the two patios. One holds up to 40 people, the other holds 40-100 people. Fantasmic! has a higher likelihood of being cancelled due to bad weather, and the backup is one of the indoor event facilities.

Epcot has venue rental fees ranging from $275-$575 depending on the location you pick. The only food and beverage minimum is $22/person. IllumiNations is almost never canceled due to weather. If it rains, you will have your dessert at an indoor event space and then be given ponchos and umbrellas to go out and see the fireworks.

Both parks have a $12.95 viewing fee for each person who doesn't have park admission. There is also a $75 setup fee for sites at both parks, except the upper UK patio in Epcot.

Do you know if your guests have tickets, do you still have to pay the $12.50 viewing fee? It looks like our guests will be just our families and I know for certain they are all buying tickets.

We had to prepay all of our viewing fees and were reimbursed after the wedding when they returned our deposit.

Oh No! That would definitely stink because it's more money to shell out instead of using it on other things!

I know, it really does stink. I know there were some brides that had problems getting any money back and I know it depends on your contract wording.

This seems to be on a case-by-case basis - we told our planner the number of people who would have park admission and didn't have to pay for them up front. :confused3

I think this is one issue I'll really push because basically the fee is being paid twice! Once by the Bride & Groom and once by the Guest.

Thanks for the imput girls!
