Fantasmic Dessert Buffet

It includes drinks as well. I remember water, sodas and hot chocolate. I don't remember if they offerred coffee or tea. My son was celebrating his birthday a long with another gentleman the night we went. Our CM got the crowd (over a hundred people) to sing happy birthday to the 2 of them. After the show, the cm asked ds what his favorite ride and proceeded to hand him a front of the line pass.

Honestly that's what I was thinking too. I could always go buy some goodies and were pretty good and getting front seats for Fantasmic when we wait for the second show (basically as the first one is ending rush in and sit down!). So I'm not sure if that kind of a price for a box of goodies is worth it! :confused3 I think the balcony was pretty neat though.

I think we'll be doing the same thing. I can't justify $220 for that. We can eat at Catal for less. Heck. That's a goofy's Dinner and a Lilo and Stitch breakfast there. Do you really have to rush in as the first one is ending to get a good spot?

i was thiniking of doing it..but damn thats not verry good.. i would rather it be a full dinner.

and they are doing balconeys now

I'll never complain about the line at WDW's Fantasmic. I remember seeing it for the first time at DL. It was spectacular. Of course I thought I'd need an EMT to help me up and get circulation back in my leg. Sitting on cobblestone for a long time isn't fun.

We're doing the FB because this is ds6's first trip to DL after many at WDW. We're making the most of it.

Hopefully my TA will be able to get us in.

Yep, I got balcony reservations for July 12th yesterday. Call me crazy, I know it's expensive, but Fantasmic is my favorite @WDW and I don't think we'll get to DL again anytime soon.

If I understand right, it is an all you can eat buffet. So, even though it's not really dinner, it will be for us! Nothing wrong with dessert for dinner once in a while... That is how I'm justifying it - gotta love "Disney Math". :thumbsup2

lol ya thats true..um is it at the pirets restrant? couse maybe i can just order my dinner befor hand and just stay sitting there??

No, it's not at the Blue Bayou, but it's just around the corner from it. I did the balcony seating for F! in 2005. I did it because my DD9 was having issues at the time with anxiety, and crowds and noise set off panic attacks for her, but I really thought she'd enjoy the show from a distance like that. The desserts were wonderful, but neither of us was very hungry for some reason, and didn't have much. Then, about 2 minutes after the show started, she announced that she had to go to the bathroom! (someone once posted on here that the CM's will sometimes let children use a private bathroom in the Disney Gallery, but I didn't know that at the time, so I thought we just had to wait) On top of a squirming, uncomfortable child at my side, we were seated a few feet away from a gentleman who had not bathed in quite some time (come to think of it, that may be why we weren't very hungry:rotfl2: ), so I'm not really remembering it as a very "special" experience". :rotfl:
Maybe I'll have to try it again sometime, just to be fair.

ok well ill rember the bathroom thing i hope if he has to go he says befor hand.. but if not maybe cm be nice

I hope its still buffet it would still be worth it if so

Getting a Fantasmic Balcony seatting is pricey but worth it every now and then. DH and I have done it quite a few times and have been fairly satisifed. Our gripe is usually that being just 2 people we are smushed into the corner, like we were forgotten about. But the desserts are yummy! However, now that our DDs are about to be counted as "kids" we won't be doing it as frequently as we ahve in the past.

The last time that we did the Riverside seating (back in 2002) the desserts were served in a box. IMO they weren't the greatest as I don't like biscotti, and DH and I swapped items from eachothers boxes. We had ben under the impression that it would be a buffet, not a box. Over the ast few years I ahve heard that it seems to switch back and forth between a buffet and a box. Does anyone know what they ahve been serving in the last week ort wo?

i have heard its a buffet now but i had also heard about the box im gona call and ask once i get all my dvc stuff took care of

Which do you think would be better for little kids??? I was thinking riverside because there would be more room. any thoughts???

im taking my rt to the balconey he will lave it, and he wont be to crunched he wont care he loves fantasmic..and i dont think standing would be the same as sitting and the river side downt look like it has good view i think ppl would get in the way and im small i cant see over most the tall ppl

how much does it cost now? I have done it twice before. The buffet used to be great. The box, IMO, was a ripoff. The balcony also is not as good if you are in the corner and not in the front row. Its a lot of $$ to spend for a family.
