Fantasmic- Christmas Week

I see last year there were 3 Fantasmic shows during the holiday week. Is it necessary to use a fastpass for this? If I get in line at 8pm for the 8:30 show will I get in?

Use a SAME-DAY FP for it.
No need to book a FP in advance.

FP or not, If you try to get in line as late as 8PM, plan on not seeing the show.
