Fantasmic changes for inclement weather

I didn't see this posted here already, only on the DIS homepage, but I thought it was interesting (and worthy of comment)...

<i>Imagineers have come up with a novel way to deal with inclement weather at Fantasmic! Now, when non-electrical storms cause the show's cancellation, guests are treated to "A Taste of Fantasmic" - an abbreviated version of the show. It includes all of the pyrotechnical elements from Fantasmic!, along with musical excerpts from Fantasia and Bambi. "A Taste of Fantasmic" has already made its debut, and met with a very enthusiastic response. "A Taste of Fantasmic" runs ONLY during NON-ELECTRICAL storms, and lasts 3 minutes 47 seconds.</i>

The regular show runs at about 25 minutes. I wonder how this will go down down with visitors? Personally if it was raining I wouldn't bother watching Fantasmic regardless of how much they showed of it, LOL, but I guess if it was my trip of a lifetime, I hadn't seen it before and thought I couldn't get to see it in future I'd be pretty grateful!

I'm sure it's better than nothing but I think it would be a very small consolation for Fantasmic itself.

I agree, Fantasmic is too good to miss. I don't think 3 minutes could it justice.

I think if it was raining enough for the show to be cancelled I wouldn't really bother to sit in the rain for just a 3 minute show!
