I am taking my first trip to WDW this December an was wondering how early I should show up for Fantasmic! on Thursday Dec 5th.

I know it is first come first serve and I have read countless recommendations of arriving an hour before the show but I was curious if it that applied to solo travelers as well. Of the dozens of Fantasmic! threads I've searched I have only found one comment from a solo traveler and he said he just shows up 15 to 20 minutes before the show and has never had a problem finding a spot for 1 person at the end of a row.

Just curious what other solo travelers have experienced. I am really looking forward to this and if I have to show up an hour early I will but showing up 20 minutes early sure sounds a lot better.

I was there in April, and arrived 15 minutes prior to the 9pm show. No line, was able to sit in an area near the middle, and was able to get out ahead of the crowd (I started walking toward the exit during the last 2 minutes of the show).

It is so much easier to navigate around the crowd solo! :cool1:

I usually show up at least 30 minutes prior, especially during busier times or when there is only one showing. This way, it's easier for me to find a seat towards the top & in the center. I always have a book in my backpack, so I will relax, read and enjoy the surroundings.

In August last year, I was able to showed up 5-10 minutes before showtime and I got a seat right in the middle.

Thanks Viva Las Disney for the question! I never would've thought to show up right before the show, but I think I'll try it out now! I'll let you know how it goes on my August trip! :goodvibes

Thanks for the replies everyone, I think I'll arrive 30 minutes early just to be safe but that still gives me another half hour of rides.

When I went was also told to show up hr early. Dunno if u need to show up that early but at least 30-45mins. I was first in line though and sat first row in center. Reply if have questions. went awhile ago so maybe things have changed.
