Do Fantasmic FPs usually run out before you get the chance to grab them as a 4th FP?

It is one of the easier Tier 1 fourth FPs to get at WDW. Depends on crowds and number of shows of course, but it is certainly possible.

Found FP+ available for Fantasmic for a family of 4 for the 8:30 show at 7:15pm mid-March during busy spring break time.

Same here I found my 8:30 FP at 7:50... LOL. It was useless though...

I might consider going to this show if I can land it with my 4th FP for 5 people.

Mesaboy spelled it out - this is a low priority Tier-1.

We obtained 4th FP+ at 5pm'ish for an 8PM show during the week of Thanksgiving.

What a FP+ for F! offers is more CHOICE in seating.
If you DO get a F! FP+, you can choose to sit in either the FP section (virtually the entire right half of the theater)
or the Standby section (virtually the entire left half of the theater.)
So, whatever section has the better seating at the time you arrive, you can go there.

Without a FP, you can only choose a seat in the Standby section.

There is a very good chance that you can get a FP+ for F! as a 4th or 5th FP of the day because they
issue SO MANY of them (enough to cover nearly the entire right half of the seating.)
On many nights, it is possible that you can gat a FP+ for F! as you are walking to the theater.

As to when to arrive at the theater, I'd get to there 45-60 minutes before the show-time.
Even with a FP or Dining Pkg. reservation, don't wait too late.
On busy nights, the CMs will stop holding the reserved sections within 20-30 minutes before show-time,
and turn over any available seats to waiting walk-in guests.

Arrows indicate the center of the seating.

Shaded areas:
(First or Only F! performance of the evening)
Cyan= Standby (walk-in) seating
Red= Dining Plan Reserved
Blue= FP+ Reserved
Purple= Can be either FP+ or Dining Plan Reserved, depending on needs.

(Second or Third F! performance of the evening)
Cyan= Standby (walk-in) seating
Red, Purple, Blue= FP+ Reserved
(Although much of the outer Blue will likely be used for Standby.)

Thanks for the map Robo, they are always so helpful. Do you think with a 6:50 50's Prime Time ADR we can make it to the only show of the night at 9:00?I can't get an earlier ADR. Do they ever fill to capacity and turn people away? The date we will be there is Sunday May 10th, crowd level 6.

I can't get an earlier ADR.

2. Do they ever fill to capacity and turn people away?

1. That is kind of late. You likely won't be seated on time at Prime Time.
Arrive at least 30 minutes before your ADR and check in. That may help.
Then, that meal (it is very entertaining and delicious)
will take over an hour to complete.

But, if you get to F! theater by 8:15, you can likely get in.
(I'd grab a F! FP+ before you go to dinner.)

2. Yes, they do.

Thanks, I'll try to grab a F! FP+ before dinner. I'll also keep looking for an earlier ADR and if that fails I'll check in early. I have never seen F! before, last time we were at HS my DH and DS stayed to ride R'N'R and see F! and I headed back to the room with two tired DD's. Now that everyone is older there's no little ones to take back to the room:teeth:
