Fantasmic and steps?

We have FP+ for Fantasmic for Monday. We have APs and it will be the only thing we do in a park that day. I cannot do steps, but will not have a scooter. Will I have any trouble if I ask to sit in the HA seats high up? Do I need to do anything beforehand to see that that happens?

I would be prepared to go down a step to the seating in from of the wheelchair seating as the seats there are for the ECV/WC users companion (1) All others in the party have to sit in front of you.

We explained to the cast member that DH would not be able to come back up the steps. We were seated 1 row from the top. No problems at all.

When we were there last week a man asked to sit in the HC seating for the same reason. The CM let him sit next to me ( I was in the top row next to DS in wheelchair). The CM did tell him that he real should have gotten a GAC for no stairs. I'm not sure how that will work with changes, but hat might be something you want to go by GS and ask about. I would think that if you explain your situation they should allow you to sit on the top, but anyone else with you may have to sit a row or two in front of you.

I would go to guest services. With all the hype lately about all of this, I wouldn't take a chance. I think guest services will help you; so, I would go that route.

Yes, I am concerned about the changes. Even 1 step is hard, not impossible. I will stop by Guest services. Thank you for the suggestion.

As a Fantasmic! Operations CM, I'll let you know exactly what to do. As you enter the theater, after you've gone through the FP+ check, continue to the FP+ reserved section, depending on the amount of FP+ booked that night, might only be Pocahontas or Pocahontas+Maleficent. Either way you will be sat in Maleficent at the top 1 or two rows, so 1 or 2 steps will be needed, or the closest open WC row in another section. You will not be sat in the Pocahontas section unless you can do at least three steps.

EDIT: Others have said to get a DAS, but a DAS has no effect at Fantasmic! with a FP+ booked.
