This may have been covered but I can't find it. We will be arriving on Sept. 6th so I am planning to spend the afternoon and evening at DHS. While I don't need to see Fantasmic I will be there with several first timers who would enjoy it. Fantasmic is at 8:30 and the Frozen Fireworks are at 9:00. We don't need to see the stageshow but is there a way to see Fantasmic and the Fireworks? Can you see anything from the Fnatasmic Stadium?

Thanks,

You will not be able to see much of anything from the Hollywood Hills Amphitheater (Fantasmic) other than high bursts from the Frozen Fireworks show. Fantasmic lasts around 27 minutes. You would have to leave early or be seated very close to the exit in order to make it in time. Even then you would not have a particularly good view anyway.

It should also be noted that the Frozen Fireworks really start at 930 according to literature.

I am going in August, and there is the second option of Fantasmic at 10:30pm. Would you be able to watch them and then make Fantasmic?

I haven't seen that, all the hours I have seen including disneyworld dot com are showing 9:00, where did you see that?

NO, apparently there is only the 8:30 Fantasmic show that day.

We were there a few weeks ago and did Fantasmic and the Star Wars fireworks, which were around the same time frame, we seated at Fantasmic toward the exit and the top so we could easy exit, although we didn't get a good view of the stage show, we had the best spot for fireworks. While everyone was crowding the main street and in front of the stage, we stood by the entrance to the Animation area by the brown derby almost, and had a completely unabstructed view. It was great.

This is kind of what I was thinking might be the best possibilty, thanks!

If you don't need to see the stage show, here's a recipe for success:

When Fantasmic ends stay to the far left of stroller parking. This is an alternate exit from the theater that will spit you out on Hollywood Blvd right near the entrance to DHS. Discovered this by accident my last trip when the rest of my party went out the main exit of the theater and got caught in the crush. I was waiting for them by the exit with no one around me when suddenly the fireworks started. Had a great, unobstructed view, with no one near me.

Last night Fantasmic was released about the same time the show started (they were both delayed due to weather, and there were tech issues on the Frozen side. Not sure how much that changed things) so unless you were right at the exit there was no way to get a good spot for Frozen while leaving.

Even with the delay, we were able to get from Frozen to Fantasmic for the second showing (on-time) without an issue.

Great idea, thanks!

Did you get decent seats still?

Yep! The great thing about the second F! showing is that it's very empty compared to the first. I have gone both with and without FP+ and am still able to get a seat in the front middle (my preferred spot is 4-5 rows up in the Mickey section) and there is always a ton of space around me.

It will look full from the top, but just keep going down and there will be space available.

I don't think that covers my date. The schedule from both touring plans and WDW are showing the park closing at 9:30 and only 1 showing of Fantasmic. But thank you.
Fireworks are the last nightly item at the parks before they close. So they should be at 930. :confused3 Good luck! :thumbsup2

Uhhhhh, where did you see that? When I log onto MDE I can choose to add the 10:30pm showing to my itinerary for that day. Are Frozen Fireworks not every night?

And for that 8:30 showing, the person you quoted was talking about Sept 6th. There's only an 8:30 showing that night for Fantasmic

During the frozen summer timeframe the only dates the fireworks won't take place will be July 4th and July 15th.
