Is it possible to see the fireworks right after the Fantasmic show? We are doing the dessert seating. On that note, where do I check in for Fantasmic and what time do you recommend checking in? Thanks!:flower3:

I don't think the fireworks are as cool by fantasmic, but you can still part of it, so it is still nice (and not as crowded). I haven't done priority seating though, so I'm not sure about that.

You can remain in your seats after the first showing of Fantasmic to watch the fireworks. Of course, you do not get the view right in front of the castle. However, we found it to be quite beautiful with the fireworks going off right over the Mark Twain. The perk of getting to keep the seats was definetly worth seeing the fireworks from a different viewing area. Also great to not have to camp out hours for a spot.

There is a podium set up across from the Haunted Mansion near the churro cart by the ROA. We were told to check in at 7:00. However, since seating is made according to the order you check in I arrived at about 6:30 to be sure to get front row seats. There was one man already ahead of me. The cms told us that they had never seen folks line up that early but I was sure glad we did because apparently everyone else decided to show up well ahead of time that night too. You only need to send one member of your party to check in and select your seats. Afterwards you can leave and return with your group about 20 minutes before show time.

Great, thanks for the tips. We'll watch the fireworks from there. My son doesn't like fireworks. He is noise sensitive so being a little further away will help.

If we plan on seeing both on the same night, we can concentrate on rides on the other night when the crowds will be lighter.

How are the Fantasmic desserts?

I keep hearing about reservations for dessert for the fantasmic show, I think this would be great for my son as he has aspergers, and is VERY sensative to crowds... are these regular priority seating reservations, or is it something different?

Thanks!
Char

Glad to be of assistance! While you can still hear them, the fireworks are definetly quieter by the ROA. The desserts were very good. We had macaroons, chocolate Mickey shaped rice krispie treats, chocolate covered strawberries, and raspberry filled cookies. Seems like I am missing another choice but can't remember at the moment. There were 2 of each variety which was way more than we could all eat since each person gets thier own box. Plus you get your choice of beverages. We had coffee and soft drinks. I think during cold weather you can get hot chocolate.

The PS for Fantasmic is a special seating along the ROA that requires a fee. The number to call is also the guided tour line (714) 781-4400. Arrangements can be made 30 days in advance. Price includes special seating, dessert sampler and beverage. Price in September was $59 guests ages 10+, $49 guests ages 3-9.

As mentioned above, the fireworks are not quite so noisy and the seating is not too crowded. However, do keep in mind that getting to your seats before showtime is quite crowded. Since you mention your son's sensitivity to crowds just thought I would mention it in case it might create any problem.

When we did the priority seating in December we were 2nd in line when we got there a few minutes after 6. People are lining up very early now.

And the place to line up IS by the Churro cart. There is a large tree there, and a stairway. The podium will be put at the top of the stairs. So if you arrive and there is anyone near the tree waiting, check with them to see if they are also waiting. When the podium arrives, they will have you move back by the stairs, but they know what you are there for.

I also have to agree that the fireworks are beautiful there, and it is such a serene area to watch them from.
