We are heading out for disney on the April 14, I have looked and noticed they are only showing fantasmic on certain nights but with 2 shows. this is new for me because I have seen fantasmic several times and it has always been everynight with exception sometimes when I went they only had one show! My mother will be coming with us this trip she has not been in 16 years so (obviously she hasn't seen the show) in the past we have always gone to the last showing but since we will be going the week after Easter and it will be busy which is the best showing to get into I know we have to get there really early but I don't want to be turnrd away! I have always gone to disney during the not so busy times so this will be new for me!:confused3 Any suggestions I really want my mom to see the show!

Personally i suggest going to the early one.. One reason is cause once the show is done. Not everyone leaves the park so its not so bad leaving the park to get a bus.. We just got back and did the first show the other night.. It was perfect we left after the show and got right on a bus.. The other option is you get eat dinner with the fantasmic package so you wont have the worries about being turned away... You will have a reserved section for you and you can spend a little more time in the park... hope this helps you a little..

We love Fantasmic and both times we have seen it we have done the dinner package.
We have eaten at Hollywood and Vine and reserved the dinner under the "Fantasmic Package." After dinner they give us instructions on where to meet. I don't even remember them asking for a ticket or proof of where we ate. We still lined up early but the reserved section is great.
Good luck!

The Fantasmic package is great, but it's probably too late to get that booked. I have heard it has been ridiculously crowded on fantasmic nights and if you REALLY want to see the show, wait in line as soon as possible for the first so and if you don't get that one, wait for the second. I know that could potentially be very time consuming but with Fantasmic cut to only 2 nights a week they are mobbed. Also, pay attention they could add a new show the day of.

We just got back Saturday evening. We were at DHS on Sunday evening and went to the first showing of Fantasmic. We did not line up early, but rather waited until there was no line and then walked on in. It was crowded but we found seats for six of us in the center section. We waited about 40 minutes before the show started. The show did become standing room only about 20 minutes later. Cast members (we asked two) did say the later show is usually much less crowded. More families attend the earlier show.
My only warning about the dinner package is we did this once (about 5 or 6 years ago) We had dinner at the Brown Derby and when we showed up for our "preferred" seating we were all the way on the right hand side and it was so crowded that families and groups had to split up. People were not happy! We have never done this again as we thought it was very poorly handled. I'm not sure if that has changed.

Does anyone know why they don't still have Fantasmic everynight? We usually go for two weeks in October and see the show 2 or 3 times (the kids love it) and it is ALWAYS crowded. Are they trying to save money by not having to pay performers all those nights :confused3 Surely Disney can't be doing that bad :confused3

We also went to last Sunday's first showing. For us, F! is a must-see, so we showed up and got in line at 6:30 for the 8:30 show. After we had been sitting for a while, watching the crowd, we decided that we could have shown up as late as 7:30 and still sat in one of the middle sections. It was alot of fun, I must say. The crowd ended up doing "the wave", which my kids thought was a hoot!! We always go without the dining package and just plan on showing up early, having something to eat in the stadium, mingling with the crowd. Now, early is just earlier...
Oh, an unexpected bonus for us was heading over to Toy Story Mania after the show, and having my kids get in with only a 20 minute wait. This was great because this was not our DHS day, we only came on this day for F!.

While I totally believe these two posts, I think that it will be different next week on the 14th than it was last week (Palm Sunday and before). The reason is that next week is Easter Week, and many schools have breaks that week. I think you should expect huge crowds and plan accordingly.
