Fantas. dinner pkg. should I or shouldn't I??

Feb. 22-29, should we do it or not? Don't really want to sit in there 60 min. or more before the show but don't really want to pay the big pkg. price either. Last time the first week of Feb. it was a waste, went in 30 min. prior and there were tons of seats in the regular area. Just not sure about the week after Pres. Day, what the crowds will be like.

Any advice from those who have been there then?

I was there the week before Pres. Day this year, not crowded at all. It seems like you should be ok without it the week after, from what I've read the crowds are only there the week of Pres Day.

We will be there the same time you are. I was wondering the same thing. Where will you be staying? We are at BCV. Going home for the first time!

I have been wondering about this as well. I've reserved the pkg at H&V, but we really don't want to eat there. I think I may cancel, as we are going on Mon, Feb 8 (a week before Pres Day weekend). From what I've read here on the DIS, I shouldn't have a problem getting a seat at that time. I don't mind going a bit early -- 45 minutes or so -- but don't want to have to go and hour and a half ahead of the show! Decisions, decisions...

Well DH announced he doesn't want to be tied into the pkg. when we go. It just doesn't seem worth the extra $$. I think we will be able to judge how crowded the park seems that day and arrive accordingly. We are planning to go on the Thurs. which is the day after Fat Wed. so hopefully the Mardi Gras crowds will have thinned out. When we did the pkg. before it was not this set meal thing with cc deposit.

We have a ressie with AAA discount at BWI but are keeping options open depending on what discounts come our way! Must save $$ as it is peak season!
