Does anyone know what the current rules are with fanny packs/ bum bags/hip packs? I have a three prong and wasn't sure if I should plan on using a locker. We both plan on doing both Harry potter rides and hippogriff. The rollercoasters my wife does not ride so she will hold our stuff. The wand I buy I will likely have shipped back to the hotel before riding Forbidden Journey.

Any ideas would help!

Thanks!

You just can't use them on the big coasters...Hulk and Rip Ride Rockit.

I kept my 3 prong fanny pack with me on all of those rides you mentioned.

As long as it doesn’t interfere with the harness you’ll be fine.

My daughter kept hers on for all the rides as well, but it was under her shirt and I doubt anyone even realized she had one on. The only caveat might be that the big coasters have their own metal detectors. So make sure anything you have on you won't kick off their alarm. If it does, then you will be sent back.

Yes, you aren’t anything like that at all on Hulk or RRR.

Only reason I mentioned it was you can take fanny packs on FJ, but the harness wouldn’t close on one man who had a waist pack on. He was already struggling to close it........so they couldn’t let him on till he put it in a locker.

Two girls who were behind us in line for FJ had fanny packs on. They escorted them through the exit and they didn't get to ride. I'm assuming the harness wouldn't click for them with the packs on. The locker situation at that ride is ridiculous.

People are the problem.

We see whole families surround one locker.......add every other family surrounding their one locker to empty it and there’s the congestion........and folks see the first lockers, even if they’re congested and use them without realising there’s some further back.

Folks who knew how to use the system were smart. One family member gets the locker while the rest get in line for the ride, the locker-getter meets the rest in line.

The best thing is to stay onsite and bring almost nothing to the parks. I LOVE being free from everything and just roll around the park.

Lucky. I need sunscreen and water (Orlando water is not ok for my system), hubby and son neeeeeed their interactive wands, etc.

Yeah, sometimes we bring some stuff with us. But then other mornings my daughter and I will go with nothing, not even a phone and just enjoy the moment together. :)
