Fanny Pack? Croc's? What are things you would only wear at Disney?

Matching shirts..................I couldn't pay my adult children to wear them at home, but at Disney even though they say that this is the last time....they always wear them. My grandson will join in the "tradition" next year, and I can't wait to get the family picture showing us wearing the silly goofy t-shirts!!

waterproof ID case fro my tickets, camel back backpack

Where do you buy the waterproof ID case (does it go around your neck?) and the backpack - is it a Sling bag? Looking for good ideas and prices!

Less than 5 months to go....

I've seen those waterproof id carriers at our local mall in the shop that only carries swimwear. I got mine when we cruised. I would imagine Disney sells them too. They hang around your neck and are hinged. You can carry your credit card, cash, tickets in them. I really didn't think they would truly be waterproof, but tested mine out at the beach and it kept everything dry.

I will only wear my fanny pack, pin lanyard, and silly Disney hats in Disney, but I wear a lot of Disney shirts and sweatshirts here at home! Based on the many strong recommendations from DIS posters, I bought myself and my DD Crocs for our upcoming trip but so far I've only worn them around the house, not sure I'll be able to make myself wear them out in public except at Disney, they are pretty funny looking!

A headband with mickey heads attached to springs. That is my Disney World park attire!!!

Fanny Pack for me too! I know it's a fashion DON'T, but sometimes comfort and convenience have to override fashion rules!

Another vote for the fanny pack. I also have a Mickey Mouse coverup that you will never see me in outside of Disney. Going next month, can't wait. BTW, does anyone know where to find those misting fans? Checked disney store, they did not have any.

AKL Fannypack, Golden Ears, pin lanyards. Maybe Crocs this year...not sure I can do it.

In real life I do wear alot of WDW clothes

Well, I don't do crocs or fanny packs, but my birthday button and Minnie Ears/tiara are usually reserved for Disney only (though I do haul them out on my birthday if I'm home, too!)

But - I also have one more story to share along these lines. I took a trip with a friend when we were about 19 and we'd often disagree. We went to a store and I bought a glittery pink feather boa (really for a child, but I didn't care) She was mortified so I kept it in the bag at the parks. Well, when we were on the bus, we disagreed about something again. I said to her "I'm not going to fight, I'm not going to argue, but if you do *x* again, I am taking out the boa." She did it, and I wore my boa the rest of the bus ride. I don't know if I would have done that on the subway in NYC . . . .

They sell them at the water parks...they have 2 sizes...the small one will hold some credit cards & money. I have the larger one...it holds my money, watch, & car key. It sells for $6.00.

I actually got my waterproof id case from the Navy exchange but have seen them in travel stores , It has a rubbr gasket to keep out water when it is shut and is clear and lays flat against me. The camel back pack is a bookbag ( we carry a cloudwalker )with a bladder and hose on it so you can carry water in it. A lot of companies make them under different names . It is great , we always put ice in it with the water and whoever carries it get to have a nice cool back for about 2 hours. All of us share one , but for people who have germ issues they do make fanny pack size ones and ones without back packs. I did have to take it off for the thrill rides (thunder mountain, space mountain, rock n roller coaster, tower of terror) pretty much all the other rides I kept it on unless i wanted to sit back .. HTH

Where might I find a "Cloudwalker" or something similar that carries water?

I know I'm a fashion disaster when I visit Disney, but comfort and function are my high priorities. I always have my sunglasses with Croakies attatched, fanny pack with camera(in a plastic bag),lip balm w/ spf, in cooler months I always have my poncho, but in the summer I wear my mens swim trunks, a swim top(not a bikini! no midrift tankini top),Teva's on my feet and lots of sunscreen. It's been my experience no matter what season it is it RAINS! It's nice to be able to dry quickly with my swim stuff on. I also bring a pack mule..oh I mean DH to carry water and energy bars! :teeth:

That is sooooo funny, my Dh said "Why do I want to go to WDW, I just have to carry everything for you and the kids" He still has to go, but I noted his concerns and will file them with the proper authorities (garbage can!) :rotfl:

Pin lanyard fully loaded backpack.Last december I wore my tevas with sock becuase it was too cold to wear them without and I wantred the comfort of the tevas ( still havent taken the crocs plunge). When I first got married to huby he couldnt stand my tevas called them ugly american sandals ( he is morrocan) Guess who has several pairs now hmmm??? :rolleyes1

1) Rain Poncho

2) Backpack

* * * Fanny packs :scared: * * *

No fanny packs. Never Ever Nowhere. (They just look TOOOOOO nasty on pooh sized people -no offense meant if you're a pooh that wears one - I don't judge, really! I just refuse to wear one, for any reason, at any location.)

What I do wear - My travel purse (just a tiny bit larger than a wallet but very thin) on a long strap across my torso (shoulder to opposite hip).

I got crocs about a month ago - I wear them everywhere (except church) - so they won't count.

I make a point of dressing comfortable every day, so my clothes really aren't different. Well - I will wear crocs with capri pants at WDW and I wouldn't do that combination at home.

Edited to add - rain poncho. Won't wear one anywhere else.
And matching t-shirts - this year will be our first time doing that. It's funny, but even DH thinks it will be neat! And he hates dressing alike/similar at home.
