Fan Favorites November 2024 Exercise Challenge

I just remembered another DCOM I really, really love, and I am kicking myself for not remembering that it's a DCOM. Freaky Friday with Heidi Blickenstaff. I love musicals, so I could watch this one over and over again.

Ooooooo! I need to see the first three you mentioned. Descendants and Zombies are always fun. I didn't expect to like Zombies as much as I did! It surprised me.
Luck of the Irish and Cadet Kelly are from when I was in high school like 25-30 years ago. The star is Cadet Kelly is Hilary Duff as a teenager (around the time was Lizzie McGuire). The princess one is from when my daughter was younger. Maybe around 2010-2015 time frame.

It's time for a new question! What is your favorite Disney animated movie?

I need some time to think about this one, so I will be back with my reply after I return from the barn.

I think I have a few and it goes along with my age. Cinderella was my favorite when I was little. I gravitate more to the Roberts and Hammerstein version though (this is still a favorite of mine). My teenage years would be a cross between Lion King or Aladdin. I will love these two. Then watching with my kids I think it would be Inside Out. I cried in both of these movies. The first one because my grandma had Alzheimer's and the memories disappearing reminded me of her. Then the 2nd movie reminded me of my daughter who has anxiety and I could the craziness happening in her head. THey both were so well done.

My close 2nds would be Bolt (DD loved this movie so it was always on), Frozen (the first one) and Moana.

I've been thinking about my favorite Disney animated movie, but the best I can do is narrow it down to 4 in no particular order:

Encanto - I love everything about this movie. To me, it is perfect.

Frozen 2 - Anna's growth in this one speaks to me. I especially love how she just does the next right thing. I try to do that myself.

Wish - I know it wasn't popular, but I can't help but love it. I think the movie is gorgeous. I really love the I want song. And I love how it reinforces the notion that our dreams are a special part of what makes us us.

The Princess and the Frog - I love Tiana, the music, the animation, and especially Ray and how much he loves Evangeline.

60 minutes on Tuesday night. It's been a crazy week for me, so I'm hoping to get a run in tonight but we'll see. Not going to push it with everything that's going on. My favorite rides songs are: Grim Grinning Ghosts, Great Big Beautiful Tomorrow... and can I count the opening of Living Seas? Granted it's more of a monologue with sounds than an actual song, but

"And rain... and rain... and rain. The deluge. A deluge of such magnitude that the world's greatest waterfalls flowing together for more than a million years would only just begin to approach its results. For when it finally stopped, ... the seas had been born."

Stirring stuff. I force my family to watch it at least once a year.

This one can be very mood-dependent for me. But I think I'll say Inside Out is my favorite "regular" one and Beauty & the Beast my favorite of the musicals.

I love all the songs in Beauty and the Beast, and Inside Out is a fabulous movie. I find it incredibly moving.

What is your favorite Disney nighttime entertainment - past or present, special occasion or regular feature, stage show/fireworks/ water show/parade/etc - from any of the parks around the world?

Mine is the former Epcot show Illuminations: Reflections of Earth. Even though I do really like the current show, Luminous, I will always be sad Illuminations is gone. The score was magnificent, and I have fond memories of watching the show from our table and chairs at the Frozen dessert parties. The view was perfect, the snacks and drinks were fun, and I got to meet a wonderful Disboarder/CM at one of the parties.

No time to add -- it's just snowing and snowing (seriously, it snowed from Tuesday evening through yesterday noon, then the sun came out for a bit, then it started snowing again and it's supposed to go until tomorrow morning). But it was warm enough at the beginning that the sidewalks and street melted, so we haven't had to shovel yet. By tomorrow I think we'll be shoveling.

I adored Wishes at the MK. But my most favorite show is probably the Believe! Sea of Dreams show at Tokyo DisneySea. It just had SO MUCH going on!

60 more gym minutes. Happily Ever After is my favorite Disney Nighttime Show. I adored Hallowishes, but I have so many important, cherished, memories of Happily Ever After. I even run to the song as my 'final lap' music. Not that I've run in a minute... hmmm, might need to get to that tomorrow! :)
