I read a thread on the wdw parks and resorts boards about celebraties spoted around Walt Disney World Resorts and I was just wondering if anybody has seen/met a famous face (apart from Mickey and Donald) whilst aboard The Disney Cruise Ships?

While on a cruise last February, we were seated at the table next to a football player from the Tampa Bay Bucs (which had just won the super bowl). My husband was impressed, I couldn't have cared less! Then on a cruise last July, the young African American boy from some ABC tv show was on. My son kept running into him at Common Grounds. Can't remember his name, or the show - once again, didn't make a real big impression on me!

Jim Belushi and the cast of According Jim got on the ship to film two shows the day we disembarked in January. They did the Western. CM's were very excited for that. Saw a bunch of CM's we had fun with on the show.

When we were at WDW during Christmas several years ago we saw Liza Minnelli. It was when she was very sick and she was in a wheel chair so she couldn't move very fast so we got a great look at her. No one was bothering her for autographs which I thought was very thoughtful considering the way she looked and her apparent condition....not good.

Another time years and years ago, we were staying at the Dolphin and we were sitting next to the manager of the Back Street Boys at breakfast and a couple of the “Boys” came in to talk to him, but I didn’t know which one was which.

YUP We were on that cruise. Were You Nat

We saw Mickey Rooney being wheeled around in a wheechair at Epcot in October 2002. (I did not know he was still alive - lol.)

Andie MacDowell and her daughters were on board the Magic for this last year's cruise over New Year's Eve!

We were on the NYE cruise with Andie McDowell too, but didn't know she was on board until I read about it here when we got back!!!

Saw Dennis Miller & family and Robin Williams & family at Board Walk Inn/Villas on 2 separate trips. They were both hard to spot- hats/sunglasses.

We were at the pool & my DH said to me, doesn't that guy over there ( who was at the table next to us) sound just like Robin Williams (without looking up, as he was reading). I looked up and he was smiling at us, as he heard the comment. He lifted his glasses & winked. We all laughed, said Hi! and went back to reading our books. I think he was relieved we didn't make a big deal about it. They were a nice normal family...

We haven't been in a Disney Cruise yet...so we'll see this November. However, when we were staying at the Grand Floridian last November, George W. Bush was there. TV cameras showed up and there were lots of secret service milling around.

I saw Molly Ringwald and Dweezil Zappa walking around Disneyland back in the 80s--it was around the height of her fame. They were buying frozen bananas near the Matterhorn.

Someone told me they saw James Hetfield (from Metallica) at the Grand Floridian, eating at 1900 Park Fare, and another person saw Mel Gibson there as well (at GF).

I also saw Ed McMahon walking around Epcot.

I saw Don Knotts at the Beach Club Resort at WDW a few years back, and last summer at Disneyland I saw Marie Osmond. I also ate next to the Mom from "Home Improvement" at the Disneyland Hotel a few years ago.

While working as a CP last summer I waited on Donny Ossmond and his son twice...He was nice :)

Not related to WDW or the cruise but for the Laker fans:
I saw Shaq and Kobe at Disneyland on the 4th of July in 2002. A lot of Hollywood celebs go to DL for the fireworks. Last year I could have sworn I saw Ray Liotta on Storybook Land Canal Boats - but I don't know for sure. He didn't talk and I didn't ask...

Someone here from work saw Richie Sambora and his wife, Heather Locklear and kids at the Blue Bayou in DL as well.

I have yet to see John Stamos. That's who I'm on the lookout for!! :lovestruc

Did Whitney and Bobby fight a lot during the cruise?? :rotfl:

My DH, being a huge Cincinnati Reds fan, was very excited when we saw Reds former 3rd baseman, Chris Sabo, taking in a Mickey Bar on a curb on Main Street.
