We arrived at The Grand California Hotel for our 6 day stay that we had arranged in October of the previous yr. 
We had 3 familys there mine, my brother in law and my In laws. We had reserved one of the main suites with the bunk beds and the 3 rooms off the main area. We did not get that room we got three indivudual rooms that ajoined. We were stuck in the farthest corner of the Hotel so the walk was the same distance as it was from the hotel we stayed at the previous yr accross the street. We got none of the 50th yr trinkets that we would have gotten had we reserved through a travel company as in order to book the room we wanted we had to go directly through the Hotel. We booked 2 Charecter Breakfast for the little kids. we saw a grand total of 4 charecters. The Princess Breakfast we met 1 Princess. When I wrote Disney they were sorry that we did not get our room and gave me the excuse that they had to give the room to other people. They did send my niece a photo of all the Princesses. But other than that they were not to sorry we spent 10,000 on a hotel room and got regular hotel rooms. My family loves Disneyland and we plan another trip this December but we will never stay at the disneyland hotels again..
