My family has a trip planned for late March next year. There will be 13 of us. All adults- my sister and her husband and their 3 kids, me and my 3 kids plus a girlfriend and a boyfriend plus my mom and her husband. How do we get around with that many of us? We want to go to Space220 (hoping it's open by then!) but that might be too big of a reservation. Of course, we will split up into small groups some of the time. Any hints for either big group or several small groups (2 - 5)? I've gone to WDW several times, but it's been since 1987 that I've gone with such a big group. We want to eat at Space220 (Hoping that it's open by March) but how do we get a reservation for 13? Do we do fast passes for everybody at the same time? (Assuming they'll be back by then.) What about mobile ordering? Can you have that many people mobile order on the Disney app?

You will have to split your group up for dining reservations. you might even have a hard time finding some reservations for 6 and 7. Space 220 is going to be one of the hardest to book when it does open. It might be easier for the hard to get reservations to do 4, 4, and 5. If fastpasses are back, you can get them all for the same time; however you might struggle to find extra fastpasses later in the day for that large of a group.I wouldn’t try to mobile order for everyone on one app/account. I would have each core family make their own mobile orders using their own account. I couldn’t imagine 13 people telling 1 person what to order. I’ve been with my large family a lot. Just know, you will go a lot slower if you don’t split up every now and then. We would all be taking a bathroom break and then as we were leaving to go to a ride, someone else would decide they needed to go to the bathroom or grab a snack really quick. It was frustrating at times, but we had a lot of fun too. I would suggest maybe spending half of the day all together and then half splitting up. It can also be hard if there are some hard core rope droppers mixed with late sleepers. You will have a good trip though, I’m sure!

I can’t give advice on the dining but I will say that when we go on big extended family trips that we find it best to split up into groups. There are those that prefer to take it slower and do more dark rides/shows/people watching, the group that’s always in a hurry, and the group that wants to do all big rides. We do usually meet up for dinners or “special rides” (grandma rode it’s a small world at the 1965 worlds fair in New York and it’s a family must do together ride) the times we have tried to go around as a unit it was way slow and frustrating for all and we got nothing accomplished. Hope you all have a wonderful time 😉
