There are pictures online to compare. I have not stayed at AoA, but when I look at the floorplans, etc. I don't think I would.
ASMu has a large living room, AoA has a smaller one plus a separate dining room
Closets - ASMu has 2 standard hotel room closets, AoA has a locker and one hanging rod in the living room
Kitchenette - ASMu has a separate space, u shaped, with upper cabinets and lower shelves, AoA has a small area in the living room
Sleeping - ASMu has a sofabed, chair and ottoman that pull out, AoA has 2 separate sleeping areas - sofa bed and dining table
Not comparing all the other amenities, just the room itself, I think 6 people would not be as comfortable hanging out in the AoA living room, whereas in the ASMu living room, there is a ton of room for folks to hang.
The other thing to consider - AoA has inside corridors, while ASMu has the standard motel outside corridors, which is a consideration for some folks in terms of safety.
Just my opinion, I don't think AoA is bad, just not my style.
