Family Sanity question: portable DVD hook-ups

Just a question about the TVs in the rooms at Disney. Are you able to hook up a portable DVD player or video camera for playback (via A/V components)? Are the hook-ups accessible?

I've been at some hotels where the TVs seem super-glued to the back of the entertainment unit and we haven't been able to access the hook-up our portable DVD player. Other places, the TVs lacked them in general.

I'm just trying to figure out the possibilities of soothing kid melt-downs and parental sanity (I sometimes can't sleep without having a comfort movie playing in the background).

I can't answer for all resorts, but we were able to hook up our portable DVD player to the TV at the WL. The inputs were right on the front of the TV.

You'll probably need to get answers from a lot of people because there are diff set at dif locations. We have been able to in some and not in others. DH has A/V company so we always have the right patch cables and such but not all tv's have had the capability. Where are you staying?
