So we are going to become a family of 6 this summer and I’m not sure what that will do to our Deluxe resort stays since I can’t imagine paying for two rooms per trip. But it occurred to me, if we go before my current baby turns 3 when the new baby is about 8 months old, could we all stay in one room? Obviously it would be very cramped but I think under 3s do not count towards room occupancy, right? It would be DH, daughter age 8, son age 5, son age 2, and new baby 8 mos plus me. We would love to stay at the Grand Floridian and check out the new walkway but definitely not booking two rooms. I’m well aware of the family suites at All Star Music and AoA, and I know we could always rent a 2 bedroom DVC. Once my littles are over 3 I’m sure we will. In the meantime, does anyone know if kids under 3 count towards occupancy limits?

That’s going to be really cramped, especially if you need 2 pack n plays for the littles. I would suggest renting points for a DVC one bedroom.

We recently got upgraded to a cars suite at AOA. Sleeps 6 and there is plenty of room for pack and plays. 2 bathrooms as well. It is a bit pricey, around $540 a night but bigger than a deluxe in the same price catagory.

We enjoyed the family suite at all stars. The extra bathroom was a life saver in the mornings!

My family did DVC rooms - we were a family of 7. I would recommend looking into renting DVC. We always stayed at Old Key West which comes with 3 beds plus a pullout. It also comes with a kitchen which can be cost saving.
