Family of 6 loves the food at Disney. Lots of Photos! Finally updated on Page15!

For dinner we needed to ear early because we had Cirque tickets for the 6:00 show and wanted to get there by 5:30. We swam for too long and didn’t have time to head over to the All Star Sports restaurant, so we ended up at Wolf Gang Puck Express.

Mom- Chicken Caesar Sandwich - Sliced pan-roasted chicken breast tossed in our signature Caesar dressing with romaine lettuce and tomato. Served on oven-baked herb bread with homemade potato chips. - She said it was good, but liked way Lynn got better
6-8-07-183.jpg

Lynn ordered linguine with tomato basil, garlic, & cheese . Linguini with Tomato, Basil, and Garlic - Fresh tomato, garlic, olive oil, fresh basil and freshly grated parmesan. She said this was very good. All the flavors tasted great together.
6-8-07-181.jpg

Dad, Mike, & Mary all ordered the BBQ Chicken Sandwich (oven-warmed) - Sliced chicken breast in our sweet and tangy bbq sauce with melted provolone cheese, tomato, and red onions. Served on oven-baked herb bread with homemade potato chips.. Everyone thought it was really good. Everyone ordered it with out tomato & onions, and my dad got it with out cheese.
6-8-07-182.jpg

I had the Rosemary Rotisserie Chicken - Juicy and crispy-skinned half chicken, served with garlic butter sauce and garlic mashed potatoes. –There was so much chicken. It could have easily been split between two people. The mashed potatoes were very good, though they had a lot of butter on them. One of the best parts of Wolf Gang Puck was that they had Barq’s Root Beer. I wish more places carried it.
6-8-07-184.jpg

Dessert was cookies, brownies, and an orange for Lynn. Everything was good, nothing extraordinary, but not bad.

As we exited Cirque we saw a gathering of people. We headed over there and saw it was people watching the shuttle take off (this was June 8th)

Thanks again for all the replies!

The french toast loaf is a snack credit.

The glass slipper was in the store that is right next to the bakery. I don't have a clue what it's called.

Great installment, i'll be going to Cirque for the first time this vacation! What did you think of it??

Thank you soooo much for sharing! This was a perfect way to end my day. I am sure to have sweeeeet dreams tonight!!:cloud9:

I just have to tell you how much I have enjoyed your reviews and pictures of dishes/meals. You have done a great job. I am drooling just thinking about some of these meals (the pictures make them jump to life on the screen)

I miss my old cannon rebel. I bought it in 1997 for our honeymoon and it went crazy on me in 2003 (the day i was heading for the hospital to have our 2nd child!). Even though I switched to digital (not a rebel) I still miss my ''baby''. I was able to get some beautiful pictures from it. I am looking for a new compact digital............maybe I will head over to photograpy board and see what they have to say.

Keep up the good work with your reviews. If you end up doing a trip report please add a think thru this thread :worship: Please!!

I decided on Cosmic Ray’s because it seemed to have a wide variety of food. The different lines is kind of a pain in the butt, but we are all old enough to get in line ourselves, so it worked out okay.

My Dad & Mary went with the chicken tenders with French fries. Both said they enjoyed them. They seemed very fresh & hot. For dessert they had the chocolate cake. This was good, but nothing great.
6-9-07-116.jpg

Lynn had a grilled chicken sandwich with only lettuce and tomato. She went with the healthy option of apples. The apples came in a bag, which made weary, but they were good! She said they were “good, fresh, crisp, & delicious”
6-9-07-119.jpg

Mike went with the cheeseburger which he said was “mediocre”
6-9-07-120.jpg

I had the Caesar salad. This was huge! It was good though. The chicken wasn’t dried out. The dressing was just okay. It was prepackaged. I ate two bites of the carrot cake, it wasn’t horrible, it just wasn’t good and I was pretty full from eating the salad. Mary also only ate a few bites of her carrot cake.

6-9-07-118.jpg

My mom had the hot dog with French fries. She loved the hot dog. She said it was “good & way better than she was expecting”
6-9-07-121.jpg

Overall we liked Cosmic Ray’s. We definitely liked it better than Pinocchio Haus, but would probably try Columbia Harbor House before we eat at Cosmic Ray’s again.

Buzz -the whole family loves this ride.

Those are some of the very best pictures I have seen, professional or not. Especially the ones of the dark rides. Awesome job. My favorite is the one of you and your brother though. The love shone through.

Why do I suddenly feel very hungry???? :confused3

Great reviews and amazing pics! :thumbsup2
Thanks for all your hard work! :flower3:

I'm so glad I am finally caught up with you Colleen! Your pics are still awesome. Raglan Road and WPE were on our list of possibilities for our upcoming trip but since we are taking this one with MIL and SIL and we got together and all voted and these 2 places lost out. You are making me regret this! We are going to LeCellier though - I am looking forward to that cheese soup!

I made reservations at Whispering Canyon Café for this night. But the more reviews and info I read about it made it sound like a really long and slow dinner. I was worried that it would take too long and that we wouldn’t get back to the MK in time for the parade. I was also worried about the boat ride to get to WCC, looking back I’m not sure why. Anyway a week before we left I cancelled the WCC café and got a reservation at Kona Café. We arrived at the Polynesian at 4:40, 20 minutes before they opened. We were given a pager and headed over to the gift shop & to the bar. Our reservation was at 5:10, but we were one of the first five parties to be seated at opening.

Starters
Mike, the seafood lover, & Lynn went with the Creamy Kona Seafood Chowder - Creamy bisque with shrimp, fish, lobster and crabmeat. It was a huge serving and they both said it was very good. I almost ordered this but our server said it was slightly spicy, which scared me off, though I tried it and it really didn’t seem spicy at all.
6-9-07-323.jpg

My mother and Mary went with the Sticky Wings - Glazed chicken wings with a tangy mustard drizzle and toasted sesame seeds. Mary got hers with out the mustard drizzle. They both enjoyed these.
6-9-07-322.jpg

I really wanted the Caesar salad, but after that huge one from lunch I went with the Lump Crab Cakes - Pan seared lump crab cakes served with Asian tartar and pineapple relish. These were pretty good. Nice crab meat taste. I had them with out the sauce. I didn’t care for the salad, so my sister ate it.
6-9-07-321.jpg

The bread and butter here were also wonderful. We ate two loaves.;) :lmao:
6-9-07-325.jpg

Entrée
Mike, Mary, My dad, and me all went with the Slow Roasted Prime Rib - Served with mashed Yukon Gold potatoes, and stir-fried broccoli florets. Very good! We all enjoyed this meal. The prime rib was cooked perfectly pink, and the serving was huge. The potatoes and broccoli were also very good. The waitress did give us a bit of a hard time for not ordering something with more of an Polynesian taste, but we’re kind of boring eaters, who sometimes like to play it safe. We all really liked the prime rib!:)
6-9-07-326.jpg

My mom went with the Char-Crusted Filet Mignon - Served with mashed Yukon Gold potatoes, asparagus, and a 5-spiced mushroom sauce. The filet was cooked exactly how she wanted it. The potatoes and asparagus were also very good.
6-9-07-328.jpg

Lynn ordered the Macadamia Mahi-Mahi - Served with mushroom rice, sauteed bok choy, lime butter sauce, and crispy fried onions. She was stuffed from her soup, the salad, and bread by the time her dinner arrived, so she didn’t eat much of it, but she did enjoy it. I tried the crispy fried onions and they were good. ;)
6-9-07-327.jpg

Dessert
We loved that Kona had a display of all their desserts to we could see what we were ordering.
6-9-07-335.jpg

Dad went with the Caramel-banana Creme Brulee. He said it was “good”
6-9-07-329.jpg

Mike ordered the Chocolate Macadamia Nut Tart. This was pretty big and very good. I loved the chocolate palm tree & since I love palm trees he gave it to me.:yay:
6-9-07-332.jpg

Mary & I both ordered the Kona Kones. These were huge! I only ate about half the ice cream and a few bites of the cone. The ice cream was good and the cone tasted fresh.
6-9-07-330.jpg

My mom went with the Apple Brown Betty. When our server was explaining the dessert menu, she said she didn’t really enjoy this or recommend it. Or server said it didn’t taste like a typical apple pie, which my mom loves, but is more tart. My mom decided to go for it anyway and really enjoyed it.
6-9-07-333.jpg

Overall we really liked Kona. It’s a place we would go back to again.

Thanks again for reading!:thumbsup2

Wow, we may have to squeeze in an ADR at Kona Cafe!! Those drinks and the food look amazing!! Great photos!:)

I second Kona as having great food. Atmosphere, not so much. We like lunch better than dinner as it is quieter.

I would rank it second to Puck's.

I am not a breakfast eater but have a friend who keeps sending me pictures of her and her family eating there for breakfast and it is tempting. Looks 'almost' healthy too. The fruit does cancel out the fat, carbs and calories in the Tonga Toast???
