Family of 5 - Studio??

Is there any DVC that will accomodate 3 adults, an 8 year old and a 5 year old? I don't have enough points to get two studios or a two bedroom.

We stayed in a studio at BWV last year and it had a queen size bed, pull-out couch and a "daybed/bench" big enough for a child to sleep on so I think you could do it there. You could probably take sleeping bags for the kids and give the third adult the pull-out couch in other studios.

How old were the kids? I just called member services and they said there was no studio that would accommodate my party.

That's not what I wanted to hear. I'm sure my kids would not mind sleeping in sleeping bags.

At BLT and AKV, the 1 bedrooms will sleep 5--they have a sleeper chair in addition to the pull out coach.

Do you remember where you stayed at BWV? Specifically the floor and view you had. We stayed there in February and had what I called a "daybed". It worked out great for us and I am trying to figure out what section they are located in or how to ask for them. Most people I asked had not experienced a studio with a "daybed". Anyone else out there that knows please feel free to add info. Thanks

There are no studios that accommodate 5 people, sorry. The occupancy limit under the fire code is 4 people plus 1 child under three, so Member Services won't book your party into any DVC studio.

At BLT the only way you can get 5 in a studio is if the youngest is under 3 years old. The next bet is a 1 bedroom at BLT which will allow for 5 guests plus a child under 3. At BLT, depending on the time you are going and type of room, 2 studios are either a two or three points more or less than a 1 bedroom. However, with the 1 bedroom you still get two washrooms, full kitchen and ensuite laundry.

No..only if one child would be under 3 and can sleep in a pack N Play. Member services DOES allow 5 in all 1 bedrooms, but only AKV and BLT will have bedding for 5.
