I just added up everything from someone who posted the suggested amounts. For a 4 day Wonder cruise and having three children, does 165.00 sound about right to you for a total amount?

My math is known to not be the best, but I added up $218.75

That includes:
Dining room server $14.75
Asst server $10.75
Head server $ 3.75
Stateroom hoast $14.50

That makes $43.75 per person x 5 people makes $218.75. Thats not including the dining manager and roomservice which is at your discretion.

Dont flame me if Im wrong ;) Like I said my math isn't the best. ;)

ok, thanks. For some reason I had the staterm. host getting 3.75 per person. I knew that couldn't be right. So thank you!

I will have a 2 and 6 year old with us. Do most people tip the full amount for the kids too?

You should tip the full amount for both kids. They'll contribute (maybe more than their share) to whatever cabin cleaning is required and they'll need to be served at meals.

Yes, the recommended tip is still "recommended" for children no matter what age. :D

ok thanks i was reading on another website that you don't tip the full amount for kids.

I also read that you aren't expected to tip for infants. And that children under 3 is at your discretion.
(I would think infants and children under 3 would make their jobs harder not easier but I think each server, stateroom host... is assigned an equal number of paying guests so tipping for babies would just be on top of what they expect to make in one sailing)
