I was deciding what to do....At first, I was going to do Illumination cruise then I thought it will be december and it will be really cool on the boat...Then, I thought of Cirqueduseil, but my son will be 6 and I don't feel for that amount of money be worth it. We can do it next year when he is 7. Then I thought of Disney Quest, again, my son would be left out...he can't do everything because he's not tall enough and those are the games he would want to play. So, I started to check into the Tours...LOL...The only one we can as a family is "Family Magic Tour".

Have anyone done this recently?(family magic tour) What is your input?
we are a family of 4, 2 Adults, DD is 12 and DS well be 6.
I just wanted to do something different...and have some fun....

Haven't done any of the tours but my son has always loved having a family round of minigolf. He loves seeing me make silly shots and watching his dad make all the ones he shouldn't! Another thing we always do as a family is spend one night on the boardwalk eating takeaway food and playing the carnival games and laughing at the jugglers or mimes.

Have fun whatever you decide.:D :Pinkbounc :) :bounce:

Although my children are younger (4 &6) we also enjoyed mini golf. We played "winter" this year at Winter Summerland by Blizzard Beach. We went 10:00am one morning (in Dec) and had the place to ourselves. Would you consider doing the Hoop De Do? That sounds like a lot of fun and we are considering doing it on our next trip. We are also planning on maybe trying The Family Magic tour as well.
Good Luck!

I took the Family Magic Tour about a year and a half ago. My kids were 4, 6 1/2 and 8 (almost 9). My dh adn I went, as did my parents. My oldest ds wasn't really into it, the only time he really had alot of fun was when we had his turn holding the map, or was called on to figure out a clue. My youngest ds was really too young to enjoy it

My dh liked it well enough, my father tolerated it, and my mom and I were fine. Now, my dd, LOVED it. She was the perfect age, followed our guide, wanted to be near her, and so on. She was in HEAVEN!! at the end of the tour, we were taken into a private garden area, and ended up meeting Aladdin, Snow WHite and her prince. (They had somehow found the missing hook....I don't remember the details anymore, but suffice it to say, dd didn;t care) These characters then walked the remaining kids (it was my three and another family with two, because everyone else had left) to a ride in Fantasyland, and they were able to board right away and ride with the characters. My dd was in heaven. As we walked down the pathways, with the characters holding the kids hand and talking to them, you could hear people wondering who our kids were! Even my 4 year old loved that part. It was $150 for the 7 of us to take the tour...not cheap. If I had to do it over again, I would have made this a girls events (me, my dd and my mom) and let the guys go to Tnorrowland. But, when I saw my dd and how amazingly thrilled she was (Aladdin and Jasmine were her favorites at that time) it really was worth the money. I felt like we were celebrities or something!

In your case, with your ds being 6, it might be fun for you. Will your dd enjoy it, do you think?

If you go, be sure to wait at the end, when you get your autographs. The other families wanted to go first and slipped away, I'm glad we waited!!!

We also did the tour and loved it!!!!! Our biggest disappointment is they never change it so it is a one time thing. We had a 5, 9, 10 year olds. They worked well together and really got in to it.

The problem was mostly the 2 DH's who didn't want to crawl, sing, hop :bounce: :Pinkbounc and run

I highly recommend this. It was extremely memorable.

Enjoy
Sandy

I am thinking of doing this my son in April. My concern is the amount of walking. I usually use an ECV in WDW. Is the tour conducive to me using that?

Thanks!
