Just booked the family magic tour for june22. Has anybody taken this tour, and if so, any ideas or warnings? Is it worth the money and time lost? Our family ranges in age from 7 to 17, and I'm hoping it will be enjoyable for all. Any comments would be appreciated. Thanks!

It's a great time! I've done it with my family, which is me, DH, DS, and DD. The kids were probably 3 and 5 at the time. They loved it! I did it a couple of years ago, me and my brother and sister, all adults. It was my 40th b-day trip! (Totally awesome, by the way!) Still a fun time. We didn't mind acting silly and it was fun to watch the other children.

You haven't wasted your money. You will have fun. Hopefully, the 17 year old won't be at the stuffy teen stage. ;)

Hi! We went on this tour a couple of years ago and I posted our trip report (with a picture!) on allearsnet.com. Follow the link below to read it, or you can search allearsnet.com for the Family Magic Tour reports. WARNING: There are "spoilers" in our report, so if you want to be surprised, don't read it! Then again, there are a few different story lines that they follow, so you never know which one you'll get. A very magical experience for us. Enjoy!

Family Magic Tour Report

We have the FMT booked as well. I have read the report at allearsnet.com, and it's a great report. In fact, it is what prompted me to call and book this tour back in December or whenever it was I began planning this end-of-May trip.

We will have a 4yo and a 13yo. I'm a little concerned about the cheesiness of the tour and the 13yo's enjoyment, but she's willing to let the 4yo have his fun and I'm thinking she will probably join right in. I personally cannot wait to jump through MK and have people wonder what's going on!

We are going on the last day of our trip as a finall send-off. I only hope that Peter Pan will be there. I understand that you never really know who will be at the end of the tour, so I haven't built the kids up to anything. The 13 yo just thinks we're going on an interesting tour of MK and the 4yo doesn't even know anything is in the works, so hopefully, they will be pleasantly surprised at the end of the tour! :yay:

Has anyone been on this tour in the past year or so? Please post a report!

In the post just before yours (#3) I posted a link from my trip report that was published on allearsnet.com.

Here it is again in case you couldn't open it:

We did the Family Magic Tour in January. DD5 absolutely loved it, as did DH and I. In my opinion the ideal ages for this tour are maybe 4-12. We had a wide variety of ages on our full tour. I'm pretty sure ALL the kids in this age group and ALL the adults had a wonderful time. There were 2 little kids including DS3 who did NOT enjoy the tour. Although we went on the 5th day of our trip, DS3 was really upset about not getting to go on all the rides we were passing and the story and most of the games were above his level. There were also 2 teens (~15 or so) who while they were good sports and certainly didn't ruin anyone's fun, you could tell they were embarrassed and would rather be elsewhere. I'd definitely recommend reading the review and warning your teens about the silliness they will have to "endure."

We got a great family pic with Peter Pan and Wendy and DD got to sit next to Wendy at Mickey's Philharmagic. It was a great time but DH and I agreed that we wished one of us would have stayed with DS3 and taken him on rides instead. But WE both enjoyed the tour very much!

We went on this tour 2 times. We had a blast both times. it was Me, Dh, DD(21) this was a trip for her 21st birthday and DS (6). You have to be they type not to get embarrassed. My DD and DS and DD friend are going to do this tour again when we go in October.
