Family Magic Tour Anyone?

We are going to try the family magic tour in MK. The cost is aprx. $25 an adult and $17 or so a child. Just wondering has anyone done this? Any comments? Good or bad?

Apparently we are looking to save Mickey Mouse from one of the evil characters and you search for clues like a scavenger hunt type thing to find out who is the bad guy of the day. It may be captain hook or the Wicked Queen or Ursula etc...

I'm just wondering if anyone has ever done this and was it fun?

We did that last IT WAS AWESOME!!! We had a lot of fun and met some really cool characters at the end. You will not be disappointed!

DD4 and I did it in Sept and BOTH of us are happy go lucky ppl who are VERY UNINHIBITED, we can dance and sing in a crowd of strangers with NO prob. BUT, I had two 35 yr old girl friends with us on the trip who were with us and hated it, they left midway thru this tour............ and I felt bad that I had planned it and now they were hating it... , they walked in the very very VERY back of the tour of ppl, and didnt do any of the cute, fun antics that were involved in the tour(silly fun stuff but u are in the MIDDLE of MK.)
So...I say do the tour, its fun and silly but dont be afraid to be fun and silly!

I recomend listening to Dis Unplugged, they had a segment on this on the 3/20/07, if you go to itunes, then music store, type in dis unplugged and subscribe, you can get back issues. They are really great and funny, especially this episode!

I'll be honest and say that my family did not like it, thought it was a waste of our time and money. It is so dependent on the CM you have! Our CM tour guide was so boring! The whole event was kind of a drag for us, and the only character we saw for about 5 mins at the end was Peter Pan. We were so excited anticipating this tour, too. I hope your experience is better!

We did it the summer of '06 and absolutely loved it!!!! Our kids were DS 11, DD 7, DS 4. Don't be afraid to act silly, and just have fun. Afterall, isn't this what MK is all about.....if you do, you won't be disappointed.
We also had a surprise visit from characters at the end and an extra special treat with them.
I would definitely recommend this tour!!!

Thanks all;
I think it came to $70 for all 3 of us - plus park admittance So much for my good deal on my tickets from an online purchase before the first price hike in 2007

BUT we are so very fortunate to have been to MK many many times AND yes while dd9 and dh love the rides - I'm not big on Space mountain type rides - I just think a small adventure in the Kingdom might just spice it up a bit. DH is horribly shy - dd actually feels ill when the spotlight is on her but so many a time I've caught her playing 'superstar' while she is singing into her play microphone some 'Hannah Montanna' song. She works well in groups. They had a talent show at school and her and two other friends did a singing dancing skit so I think if others are partaking - she'll join in

Her and dh had their first scavenger hunt last year at SS resort and it's a memory the two will never forget. I want in on the action now so here's hoping they enjoy this little tour Thanks all
