Has anyone ever done this? Is it worth the time or would we be better off doing something else?

My husband and 5yo daughter did this together and came back with some very cute kites they decorated. We attempted to fly them at Castaway Cay. They enjoyed the activity.

Do you actually make the kite or just decorate it?

Thanks for the info. If we're not still eating breakfast at that time we'll have to check it out.

The kites are already made. They are made out of a nylon type material, really quite nice. I even made one for myself. You decorate it with color markers and stencils. They caution you not to get the ink on your clothes because it will not wash out. This took us about 15 minutes, it depends on how much you want to color. Also, we carried them to the car because they wouldn't fit in the suitcases.

Hi Debbie,

The nylon kites sound nice. I was hoping they weren't made of paper. Thanks for letting me know.

How was your cruise? I saw your post right before you left. I remember you because you live in PSL. I live in Stuart.
