Hello All,
Some advise please. We are planning a family hoiday to Orlando Sept 2012 for my husband's parents 50 wedding anniversary.
We are family of 9 of mixed ages, 2 over 70s, 4 x 40 to 46, 2 x 17 years old and a 10 year old (at time of travel).
We are trying to think of the best (and cheapest!) way to get the tickets.
We primarily want to spend most of our time at Universal then Disney.
Any ideas?
We have been before and have been looking at tickets but there are so many out there and I am dreadful when it come to choice!

:cheer2:

A good start or tickets is Kenny's thread http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?p=42050198#post42050198
If you are doing more than 1 day in Universal the best ticket is usually the 14 day ticket around £86. Possibly worth at least 1 in the party geting an AP to get free parking and discounts.
Disney the more you go the better value it is, US Magic Your Way tickets if yoou just want a day or 2, UK 5-21 day tickets usually better value but you need to decide how many days entry you want.

I always use attraction-tickets-direct.co.uk They price match and send real tickets, always great prices :D The also do combo ones (Disney+Universal+Seaworld etc) which is handy if you want to do all the parks.

thanks both
We are looking to get the 6 park Flexticket. Got that one the first time and found it great value. Looking at getting a few days at Disney, I will take a look at the sites that you have suggested.
thanks

if you're planning on staying at universal then it really does pay to get at least one AP. There are often AP discounts on the hotel rates. And the discount can be quite significant.

and as Wayne pointed out, there are other discounts as well.

You need to use every park on the flex tickets to get value from them, there are often other options cheaper than Flex tix these days, they were great value a few years back, not so much now.

Sorry to jump on the tread, but can you buy AP fir unuversal here? If so, how, where? Once you have this can you then get discounts on hotel? Is it best to book thus through universal?

You used to be able to buy online but they have changed the site recently not sure if you still can, http://www.universalorlando.com/Tic...s.aspx?ComponentId=12956&SourcePageId=13636#8

You get the discount for hotels on their website http://www.loewshotels.com/en/booking/uo?hotel=UEPBH,UEHRH,UERPR
To get AP rate drop the box to Promotion & enter APH, it will then show you any AP discounts, you don't need you AP to book, just need it at checkin if they ask to see it.

AP's are not cheap for the 1st year at $230 but great value at $160 renewal rate after your 1st year.
