Family Gift of Magic --- You Pay More

Hi DISers,

I'm booking a last min trip to DW for friends Birthday. I noticed two packages (Gift of Magic - room only) vs (Family Gift of Magic - Room + tickets). It seems like one is slightly more expensive than the other...

Booking 1: (02/04/18 - 02/05/18 Pop Century - Gift of Magic w /tax price - 116.67. Tickets by themselves in separate cart/transaction(4 day park hopper) - w tax - 905.26) = 1021.93

Booking 2: Family Gift of Magic (Same thing all together in the cart - 1024.74)...........Wierd...........am I missing anything?

Nope. Just calculated the exact same thing! Staying 6 nights at Pop in Mid-January with 6 day PH tickets and had booked the Gift of Magic package a few weeks ago. Yesterday, I priced the room separately, along with how much 6 day base tickets and 7 day base tickets would be if i bought them stand alone from Disney. I then asked a Disney CM to send me a quote for what the new package total would be if I switched from the 6 day PH to the different tickets I had researched. Price difference is about $3.50 in both instances. Not sure why....

Taxes are calculated differently on packages, that's why it's a package.
