Family 5K and Kid Races

Hello everyone, we are just back from DH running the Goofy (which we now believe the to be truly Goofy!!!!). He did it and we are very proud of him. Now my boys want to run the 5K. A friend of mine wants to know if it is possible to run the 5K and do the kid races. Is it physically possible to get to both places when you need to be? We don't know anything about these races. Thoughts Thanks for your help!

There are no strollers allowed for the 5K, right?

Yes VERY POSSIBLE!!!

Actually that is exactly what we did this year. The 5K starts at 7 so even if you are there till 9, which is a long time you definately won't be there that long. The kids races don't start till 11 right over at WWOS. It was perfect for us and our kids had a great time

And yes there are no strollers allowed.

I was back at my hotel, showered and on a bus with my DH and DD back to the Animal Kingdom by 8:45 AM the morning of the 5k (note, I left immeidately after finishing and was back at the boardwalk at 8:03am...). we had DD registered for the kids race but decided to do it on Saturday instead of Friday. it was a lot of fun and my DD had a blast running her very first race and getting a medal "just like mommy". very cute!
