Family 1st Disney Trip

Hello, and thank you for stopping by, This is a TR from 2009, Our first Trip to the world....

I know it is really late but, I am still a rookie and just started posting in the DIS We Have since been one more time and have our third trip coming up in about 2 months

I know the suspense is killing you so let me introduce you to my wonderful family

My DW will be the first, her name is Kristi she is the brains behind our Disney machine.....lol....She does all the planning and now Takes care of the DVC ressies.

The next will be our awesome DD, her name is Kira.. she is what makes my life worth living. I know, sounds sulky, but true..She is a great Kid. When we first started talking about the trip she asked us to "please stop talking about it because we would never go"

Little did she know we already had the ADR's and Booked CBR so on her.

I know right about now you are wanting to scroll back up and see if I made a mistake in the pictures ...it's cool Happens all the time...But if you look close one of them is smaller than the other.

And Last but not least me, to be honest I also thought we would never go... but once we looked at the funds we had, we thought we may be able to take a vacation .....after all we had never taken one in the 8 years we had been married

I suggested going to the big aquarium in OHIO ,But then right at that moment I was on the web looking at cool vacations.....a freak-in POP-UP<---I hate those...But wait this one said something about free dinning in a moderate resort and then I seen it that wonderful,awesome,magical,great and of course the worlds most loved MOUSE....The Rest is History (or in this case DISNEY MAGIC)

So anyway this is me....The DH<---- that means head man in charge...No really I am just Wayne and only in charge of my wardrobe...

Well there is our introductions, I hope you guys want to come along with us as we post the awesome adventures about our first, and addicting Magical Trip. Like I said earlier I am a rookie so this may take a bit for me to get this all posted , couple days at least....In this trip we stayed at CBR for 5 days<------not long enough at all.....

We had the water parks fun and more package, we only went in three parks and we made it to downtown Disney..(yea you read right no water parks) We also attended MNSSHP That was awesome...but hey it is Disney right...

We had the dining plan so we did find time to eat...lol....I will post our personal reviews of our stay and the places that we ate as well...So More to come check back and we will take you on our adventures.

Okay, see that did not take long. We had to drive to Disney this time .....and every time here after My wife refuses to fly.

So Here I will give you the run down on the trip, we did not take to many pictures, cause we were to busy keeping each other awake It was a thirteen hour trip from Kentucky, and us being silly decided to drive straight through(That was a bad decision) Luckily our DD slept the entire way....except when we stopped to eat. We decided to rent a car of course, we did not know about the awesome Disney Transportation<----Now you know why my wife does the planning))))

But if nothing else this trip was a learning experience for us both. Anyway while we were struggling to stay awake and watch the comfort inns go past us, or us go past them, after the 10 th hour I really did not know what they were doing.

Well we finally hit Georgia and decided to stop and take a quick break, this was one time I woke up our DD so she could see where we were(she was not a happy camper)

We were so excited to get that far I do not think the drive was even effecting my DW....Check her out in her driving attire.

LoL, she just told me to stop putting bad pics of her up here, see she is still backseat driving.

Okay so by now My DD is getting really excited, and the excitement took her to the restroom and back to her comfy spot in the backseat, I told my DW that I had always wanted to do this on one of these poles..( No not pole dancing, get your minds out of the gutter, this is a Disney Trip)

Yea, this pole.....My Brother said I look like I am about to steal a car

Sorry no pictures of Kira here, like I said she was right back in the car.
So after we got a bite to eat and drove some more we finally made it to Florida And DD thought that meant we were 15 minutes from Disney World, me I hade the map(lol). So she rose from the backseat and was ready for some photo's

So as you can see she was full of amazement. We snapped a couple photos here, and this rest area was cool, they had fresh OJ..and Disney Pamphlets to get us even more excited

I think they were just Happy to be out of the Car

No I was Okay, was just trying to cover up the Michigan on my Shirt, did not look good with the Florida sign...lol

Well after another quick cup of OJ and a backseat full of flyers, we were off on the last leg of our trip...After a few(hundred Miles) we could not believe our Eyes.......,,:, we were going to see them all,,, it was finally here......OMG I could not believe this it looks like it did when I was a kid....

I yelled "omg stop, hun let me get the picture...." Our DD was climbing in the front seat, and my wife just drove with her mouth wide open, and all of a sudden we were all awake, that feeling just came back ot me as I was typing this ....DISNEY REALLY IS MAGICAL YA KNOW.....

Thanks guys for stopping by, Yea this trip was overwhelming, but the best thing we have ever done

We Love Disney, on this trip we met some Disney Veterans that calmed us down and really Helped us through the trip, they taught us allot

There Pics will be at the end of the TR, it was very sad to leave them(bitter sweet) but thanks to FB we stay in touch and have for the last 2 years And Now we are DVC members and never stop thinking about Disney.......gotta love it

This was a great trip, I did not over glam it the magic was all Disney

Yeah, that sign is always awe-inspiring! Sounds like you have been bitten by the disney bug! I'm jealous of all your trips you have taken! I took my husband for his first trip in Dec, and while before that trip he refused to think about another trip to disney for several years, he is already dropping hints that he wants to consider going back this Dec!

Hey Welcome back, considering how tired we were from the trip, it was still so amazing arriving on the property for the first time.
Disney just grabbed us and still has not let go.

We got to the CBR parking lot and we were kind of lost as to what to do, so we just grabbed all of our bags and went inside(we should had just left the bags in the car, cause we had to drive to our building anyway)
So After we went in to Check-In we were told that the rooms will not ready till 3PM which for us was devastating because I was ready to lay down.
At this point I was like "wow what do we do now" so we thought we would just drive around and look at everything so UGH! back in the car we go.
This was not a bad thing, the place was absolutely amazing

The landscaping here made us feel like we was really in a tropical place(wait we are in Florida)
Here is a few more pictures to show you what we were seeing as we walked around,If you have not stayed here it is definitely a place to see

So after Looking at the sights we went to the phone in the resort to call and see if our room was ready, Nope still not ready yet, this was about 2pm, I told my DW " we can wait one more hour lets go look at a few things"
She was thinking about hiding behind a tree and going to sleep...lol I managed to keep her awake for a bit longer, Meanwhile our DD was as awake as a 10 year old could be(((((Did I mention she slept the entire way?)))) Now I was feeling a bit homeless... But we decided to look at more of the resort.

They did give us a room number when we checked-in and my DW was so tired she thought about getting the room ready by herself.... But, instead she looked at me and said "Hun go up and look at the room, see if it is ready" Man I really thought this was a bad idea.....But being the good DH I am(remember she has just driven 13 hours) I did it.
When I got up top the room I peaked in the window cause the blinds were open and I seen stuff like they had just gotten there.... So I found one of the overpriced coke machines, cause they have phones in those rooms, BTW there is a fuel station on the property across from DTD that sells cokes and other stuff for normal prices(hint)
And I called again, now this was about 5 minutes to 3, The person I talked to told me to come up and pick up my room key. But the thing was I already had one "Can I just use the one I have?" Oh man I seen this was going to be bad, I was asked to come to the front desk cause I had the wrong key ,wrong room number and the wrong building all together...

(That DF must have thought I was crazy looking in their window)

Anyway we did get a new Key, come to find out our room had been ready since NooN Oh My DW was upset...well in the end it all worked out because we got a ground floor room that was 10 feet from a DSA

The more TR's I read the luckier I think we must have been in Dec. We got there before lunch and our room was ready for us! We had stopped though halfway there... because I didn't think my toddler could handle being in the carseat that long. Okay... MAYBE it was my pregnant self that didn't wanna be in the car that long!

Oh yes! I'm hoping Corey will be completely on board by the time they start announcing Winter specials... It was May/June last year! Not that I'm waiting on the mail or anything...

OH, that would have made me a little irritated too. Sorry that happened!! Great hint about Hess!! (the gas station) I'll have to remember that- Ha, though, the way gas prices are these days, it might be a cheaper option to save going the 2 miles and spring for an extra re-fillable mug.

Oh yea, we undeniably fell head over heals for the Disney Magic, Then I dragged my mother in now she has it and my Brother is Next year...lol I have never been to a more amazing place in my life...And My Family Loves it to , a great place for us to bond...This year we are going in July and Christmas....good year for us....DVC helps with that...Where are you guys staying? I Hope you have as much fun as we did....ONM I see POP....we look at that resort all the time the theme is awesome......I have heard nothign but great things about POP....

just started reading your TR and it's all good so far. I can remember the first time we went and it's just so much to take in so you have to keep going back to make sure you haven't missed anything....such a great place.
