falling prices of crude oil

With the falling prices of crude oil how long do you think it will take for the gas stations to start droping. In my opinion it takes them a day to hike it but weeks to drop it. Can you say price gouging. I find that I am digusted on how slowly it will drop and how much money they will take in. Our prices here have yet to start to come down and the price of crude has started to fall since late last week or so.

Not sure this will make you feel better, but ONE gas station in my area dropped two cents. Let's hope it keeps up.
It takes awhile to refine the oil into gas, hence the lag from the drop to the pump. The reason it jumps faster is because the sales are what enables the gas companies to purchase the crude.

As to price gouging, ITA and I believe it has been going on for quite awhile.

I think if people (short term memory that we have as consumers) see gas level at something like $1.80-$1.90 a gallon will then say WOW look how cheap it is.

I predict $2 gallon for summer driving season

Then bring on HEATING SEASON

Personally, I would LOVE to see 1.80-1.90 a gallon. Right now the least expensive I have seen them is 2.08 for regular.

It was $1.89 last night when I came home...
When we were in Santa Monica a couple weeks ago it was $2.39.. ...what a nightmare..plus all the gas you waste sitting in traffic..
