Fall Room Discounts

I am pretty new to this board and have been LIVING in the DFTW threads so I have a super stupid question. If/when discounts come out, can I apply them to my existing reservation?

We are getting married on Oct 12 and have booked the MK View room at the Contemporary from Oct 11-22. I think we have a basic package, we put $200 down and the rest is due 45 days before we check in. We don't have dining or tickets or anything like that. I would love a discount, any discount, the room is $500/night!

Historically, there has always been a discount code for Oct. And we asked when we reserved a room and they said you could apply codes to new reservations. Come on codes!!

I'm determined to go each year, discount or not. The problem is, that if you book through the Disney website versus Expedia, the Disney prices are usually higher.

But, if there is a discount, I would never say no!

Disney Destinations sent out random emails for 40% off room only again (The offer expired 7/10/10). Last year we stayed at the GF Club level during the second week of Dec. It was great!
We got the same offer so this year we are going the same time, but staying at the BC.

Don't most promotions come out on Monday's?

Here's hoping we see something this coming Monday on Aug 2nd.

I was looking at the historic dates, and they seem to always come out on weekdays, sometimes Monday, but sometimes Wed/Thur. I'm working with a TA, and I think her hours are only M-F, so I'm really hoping they don't release any discounts this weekend. I'm betting on either Mon or Wed of next week!

I am almost 100% positive that you will need to re-book, but it shouldn't be a problem to do so, as long as you move quickly before Disney sells out all the rooms available for the discount.

It shouldn't be a problem to modify your reservation. Have modified my family's 2xs already. The CM always keep my reservation # the same. But I always received an email with the new reservation like it was the first one made.

Can an AP holder get 2 connecting rooms at the AP rate?
