Fall RO at Beach Club in October?

Was anyone lucky enough to score a room only discount at the Beach Club in October this morning?
I was on the line right at 7AM, but it was a no-go for us!

BC has some significant blocks mid-month for the Gartner Conference.

I checked online around 6am but there was nothing for our dates at any of the Epcot resorts. The month of October is very popular for Epcot resorts so I wasn't expecting too much. Last year we had a bounce back room only discount but October and November weren't included this year.

between the conference and the festival, there won't be a lot available at a discount.

Was looking for the same thing. Nothing on-line, nothing after 1 hour and 59 minutes on the phone. Well, nothing except the CL rooms that are $617 per night. I think that the thought is that if there will be any RO discounts at BC or YC in October - and that's a big IF - that they won't drop until August.

I did change from POR to AKL, though, and we'll be fine with that if BC doesn't become available.

Same here although I have to say that I was still hoping that something would be available at one of the Epcot resorts for our October dates even though I knew it would be a long shot

Gartner is not until October 16-20 this year- so a week later than in the past couple of years. I've been looking at the first week in October since last December and there has been little to absolutely no availability at YC and not much at all at BC, even at rack rate. I think it is a combination of YC is supposed to undergo a room refurb sometime this year so I bet there are rooms blocked out (which puts more people at BC too) and F&W.
