Many tweens/teens were there, and perhaps a large majority who haven't visited during the concerts in the past and weren't sure of how to avoid getting caught in the throng...us included. However, it is not unrealistic to expect a dedicated path out of a park after a high-profile event.

They should've closed off access into the concert area entirely (including the street between Mardi Gras area and the stage area) once they knew it was at capacity...and routed those trying to exit after the parade out back along the lake.

Yep, seen a lot of Twitter comments about just how bad it was....... Sounds like hell!!! Few people were glad they never made it in at all........

For me, it was not many rooms have the views I prefer
Think I would say about a third have the views I would enjoy

But we all like different things

Yeah T2 is not for us........either........T3 is first choice always for us.

Last trip we were on the 7th floor of T2. The room faced the bridge at the front so the view was the front moat/bridge/driveway and than in the distance you could see the theme parks. We thought it was a good view. Especially considering our previous 2 stays we had the worst views on property.

The TM checking us in actually brought up pics of the room views on her PC for us and let us pic from the available rooms. I've never had that happen before and thought it was great. We were checking in around 11pm and there was no one else lined up so maybe thats why she went the extra mile.

T2 does take an extra minute to walk to the boat launch, but we didn't find it a big deal. We're used to CSR at WDW which has a lot of walking.

What's wrong with Building 2?

we tend to get the street/parking lot views, which is why i was happy to get any view of the pool. Wish they'd make it a booking category there.

other than than the smaller,odd pie shaped king room we had in October, all the rooms are pretty much the same and very nice. at the risk of being a nit-picker, my faults with tower 2, iarethe longer walk to elevator shaft and feeling as though I'm plowing thru jakes outdoor dining area after enjoying the pool in the early evening.

carole was wondering if others were annoyed, might have to ressurect my twitter account and check them out. have yet to get around to composing my email. they were supposed to contact me, guess ball is in my court..

have you heard back from anyone at UO yet?

was kind of hoping they would give you some type of perk for what you went through.

i always would give my kids a toy when they had to get a shot from the doctor.
sorta like the same thing here.

It's between Burger Digs restaurant and JP ride........you can't miss it........the little dino muncher comes out regularly.......you'll probably see the queue if it's on a break........worth doing!

oh, i heard alright. usual corporate bs about informing the appropriate departments and my experience not being acceptable.

i have satisfaction of venting, a powerful thing lol

don't be offput by the line you may see

even if backed all the way up to the end it took less than a half hour, all shaded and well-worth it!

I went on the FOB concert day and it was a mess everywhere! It was worse than Magic Kingdom on NYE. So many people and no one around to help manage crowds. I eventually left before the parade or concert because it was such a claustrophobic, crowded disaster. I completely agree that U needs to do more to help manage these crowds. This was my third visit to Universal. I love it there and will be back but if that was my first time I would have been very disappointed and not in any rush to come back.

I hope you guys still managed to have a fun trip overall!

we did have a very enjoyable trip, but honestly don't see a return to mardi gras in the future.

thanks for posting your experience. If we had known it was going to go so badly downhill would've left early too.
