Fall FP+ availability is awful!

Haven't been back to WDW since 2010...so this whole FP+ system is new to me...and can I say SCARY. My reservation window opens tomorrow at midnight and I am terrified that I will not know what I am doing. Getting ready to watch some YouTube Vids to learn how the whole thing works. ...did I stress enough how much I have no idea what I'm doing!

You will be fine; the FP system on MDE is more confusing than it should be, but you will figure it out quickly when it's right in front of you. The key is to figure out roughly what you want -- and when you want it -- ahead of time, so that you don't have to make too many changes later - hopefully you've already done that. If you know which days you want to go to which park, and you've read this thread and mesaboy2's thread, then I'm sure you are in good shape to book your FPs tomorrow night.

We got SDMT no problem for our time in September at 60 days out, but there were no A&E available. I thought it was a low crowd time of year. Free dining probably makes a big difference. Thankfully, our family is past the meet and greet age for princesses. We still love to meet Winnie the Pooh and Chip 'n Dale though!

If possible, have two people with computers doing FP at the same time. It helps!

We were both logged in under one account.

This idea never even occurred to me, but we get to do our FPs next week. So you're both under the same account working on different days and the system is fine with it? That would definitely make things easier!

We followed the advice above both logged( 2 laptops) into same account and got everything we were after. Just one on our first day is about 1 or so later then I wanted.

Well the FP system wasn't nearly as hard as I was anticipating it to be - the preset time options were a bit of a pain, but I was able to get everything within an hour of what I had originally wanted, including 7DMT. No princesses/parades for us, so that helped.

Now, more coffee since I was up late last night doing that!

Sometimes you need to log out of your account and then back in right at midnight. Not always but the system can take time to refresh if you don't log out and in. Also, DH and I were working on two different computers under same account as well. Worked great! Don't forget, too, that you can change your FP+ times. So, concentrate on getting your rides; then worry about best times.

I was able to get SDMT twice and A&E for my trip, checking in on the 25th of October

I had a pleasant experience with FP+ last night. My window actually opened up at 11pm CST, unlike last time where it didn't open until 1am. We have a nine day trip, and I was able to get 7DMT each of our magic kingdom days, and Anna & Elsa the second to last day. 7DMT is DD 4's favorite ride, so I'm thrilled we get to ride it almost every day.

I made my FP+ arrangements this morning. I only had trouble getting MSEP for 10/24, and had to split us to overlapping individual times for 7DMT for the time I wanted on 10/23 (there was plenty of availability in the afternoon/evening, but I want AM).

No need for A&E, but I did see it was available on all my MK days. The only other 'hard' FP I booked was TSMM, and had no issue with that either.

Same here. I couldnt get MSEP for Oct.26th. Bummer.

Thanks so much for all the tips! We made our FP's last night (we did use 2 people, I was on my laptop and my husband was on his ipad - both on my account) and we got everything we were looking to get! A&E and 7DMT were both available for our 2nd MK day, but I don't think they were available for the beginning of our stay. I went back after finishing everything just to see if I could adjust the time for A&E and it came back as no other times were available... so I'm very thankful we followed the great advice here!!

I had a good FP+ booking experience, but I wasn't looking for A&E or MSEP. I think those are the hardest to get. I was able to get 7DMT on second day of my trip, but it was an evening time (nothing available earlier in the day). I was able to book another 7DMT later in my trip for the time I wanted. All other FP+ were available (including TSMM) at the times I wanted.

A&E is already booked up for my entire trip (it's only 3 days) and my window doesn't open until Saturday (Fri/ Midnight).
