Fall Fest Solo Trip for Momma 2013: 9/26-9/29 live updates

This morning I am on my way to Fort Lauderdale to meet with my dissertation committee. After that I head to WDW for a few days of solo momma fun.

Updates will come as the trip progresses with a full report on the trip ASAP after I return.

Thanks for coming along.

After arriving in Fort Lauderdale and checking in I realized I didn't have a hair brush or tooth brush. Whoops. Thankfully the wonderful staff at the Plantation Courtyard Marriott helped me out. I really do highly recommended this hotel. I've been staying here twice a year since starting my phd program at Nova Southeastern University. I love the location and staff.

I'm heading to campus at 8 and will be meeting with at a minimum my dissertation chair. I've already submitted my first proposal draft but I've got a long way to go...hence taking this mini vacation before the real research insanity starts.

I will start posting pics and mini reviews as I go with a full fledged report ASAP.

Bus to Epcot first. 3:10 pm. Will take monorail to MK.

3:18 departed resort for park. 3:28 through parking gates. 3:30 off the bus.

3:36 on monorail to MK. 3:50 on ferry to MK.

3:56 moving. 4:04 bag check

Spicy waffle at sleepy hollow freaking amazing. Sat in liberty square. Someone dressed as ELf walked by...rofl

Haunted Mansion BTMR Splash Pirates. Saw guy dressed as Aurora. Little Princess Leia, whole family of Peter Pan characters. Too hot for my Vanellope costume. Front row pirates.

Pirate scarf and sword. To tomorrow land. TTA. Party starts in 10 minutes!!!

Lots to report about. First in line at Epcot this morning. Couldn't believe it. Heading to Soarin' first thing. Had to leave early last night because I was having back and hip pain that was just a little too much. Will be here until 3pm at the latest if my pain doesn't get too bad. Ten years ago I could have stuck around all day. Booooo to getting older.

Unfortunately this morning I had to restore my iPod, which had all of my notes and pictures on it...so this TR is stuck in the water.
