Fall easier than Spring?

Now, I'm not saying that this is my personal view on the situation, but from what I've heard around the FB group and things like that the Fall term is easier to get accepted into than the Spring term? Something because everyone applies to do Spring after the first semester of their year or something like that? Is there any truth in this? Have you applied to spring and been denied but applied to fall and been accepted?

After doing both programs, I didn't find one "easier" to be accepted into then the other.
