When we were on the WB PC last year, DCL only had transportation to/from IAH--not Houston Hobby. Does anyone know about this fall? Will they have both or just one?

Most likely just from IAH. The first season DCL did Galveston, they had transfers from both. But stopped the service from Hobby. Can't say for sure, though.

We were originally booked on the Wonder out of Galveston for January 2017 (we have since switched to the Fantasy) and the only transfer options were from IAH with DCL, they are not doing Hobby.

Seems so silly to do IAH and not Hobby since it is a longer trip to the Port of Galveston from IAH. I guess it is becasue IAH is the "international" airport for Houston.

We're sailing out of Galveston on the Wonder this winter. Definitely only a shuttle from IAH. It's so pricey anyway, that it's cheaper for us to rent a car than it would be to take the shuttle. If I'm remembering correctly, the shuttle only makes sense if you are cruising single or as a couple, and you're good with the hotel right next to the airport (has a free tram or something to it). Otherwise you have to taxi back to the airport for the shuttle anyway, adding even more to your cost, on top of the high shuttle cost. We're flying in the day before, so it makes much more sense for us to stay in Galveston and rent a car. It seems pretty ridiculous that paying for an 8 day car rental (which isn't getting used most of the time) is a better financial decision than the shuttle, but it is what it is! FYI - car rental rates were slightly cheaper from Hobby, if you are going back and forth between the two airports. It's also closer to the port.

We did the same thing as CMPH above. Rented a car at Hobby, drove to Galveston and spent the night, then drove to the port and parked for the week. Disembarked the Wonder, got in the car and drove to Hobby. TOTALLY ridiculous to rent a car to park it for a week, but I sliced it and diced it every which way and it was the cheapest option. This was Oct 2013, things may have changed since then. Good luck and have fun!

Unfortunately, it's definitely still the same. It's ridiculous! I spent a week this summer trying to figure out the most cost efficient way to do this (we're sailing in Dec). Renting a mini-van for 6 of us (my 4 plus my parents) = far cheaper than the shuttle. If it was just DH and me, the shuttle would make sense.
