Last year we did the fall cruise sale on Dec. 8th for the seven day cruise. I noticed this year the sale is only for Sept.does anyone know if it will be extended into December?Does anyone recall last year if they started out with just sept. and then extended it? We went ahead a booked for Dec.again anyhow but I would sure like a better price! Ann

I had posted this on the disney vacation club bb as I was asking about the fall sale for using points not cash but maybe someone will know here since it was moved?

When we were deciding a few weeks ago between taking the cruise in September vs. October we asked both DVC Reservations and DisneyCruise Reservations about the possibility of the Fall Discount showing up for October sailings also. We got the same answer from both parties.... At this time the Fall Special will be for September only and it is very unlikely it will be extended out. So we went ahead and booked our cruise on points for the Sept 22nd sailing and ended up with a nice shipboard credit too! Hopefully they will extend out the dates available under the Fall Special to help others save some cash/points!!

Plus with the $99 cruise specials that were taken advantage of, bookings have been strong so I also doubt they will discount further than the month of September. But you never know.... Stay tuned to this Cruise Board for any updates, if and when they do become available! :)

well I was thinking (or rather is it hopeing:D ) that since the 99 specials have to be used up I think by november (I may be wrong) that their December bookings may be low. I noticed when we went last december there were far less people than in April- although that may have more to do with school vacation and getting ready for christmas. I can always hope:jester: either way I will be going for my birthday december seventh! can't wait to see grand cayman!

There are some very attractive prices for Fall dates outside of the month of September. We have group space on the November 30th Magic (Eastern) with prices starting at $799per adult (excl. taxes). While not every Fall date is that low, there are some good prices available outside of September..

was there a code for this, or did it pop up in pricing?

The $99 per person was a deal if you cruised in january they gave you a coupon to do a four day cruise same level for only 99 per person. The fall sale I was refering to was we used our DVC points last December and got a cat.5 cabin for the three of us for only 345 points. This december with no deal we booked and it was cat.6 191 points for me 65 for our son and paid $1624 cash for hubby. Western has a higher point rate for some reason. I asked member services and they said if they come out with a deal they will credit us back!:D

I was inquiring about the seven day fall rates, I knew about hte Jan $99 one as we cruised last Jan. Thanks for the reply:)

I was just on www.mousesavers.com and found a listing of DCL published "Best Rate List". It appears there are a few sailing dates, outside of September, listed as a "Best Rate". Might be worth taking a look at. If you go to the homepage of the site and click on "Check out a new list of best- priced Disney cruises!" (It will be listed at the top of the homepage). This should take you to the listing.

Good Luck!!
