Fall Advantage check-in dates

Hi! I hoping someone here might be able to help us out. I did the CP many years ago and I'm sure the process has changed a ton. My niece is planning to apply for the fall advantage program next year. But she also has the opportunity to do a school trip after finales in May that doesn't return until May 25, so she is concerned about being assigned a check-in date before then. (Of course assuming she gets accepted!)

So could someone tell me how this went this year or last? I know there were a variety of check-in dates, when did you find out? Can you request a late start date? Is there a time when you can let the program know what date you are available to start? Anything you remember about this would be helpful, as she's considering turning down the May school trip if it could possibly interfere with the DCP.

I applied for the DCP for this fall and I believe the check in dates were in late May and early/mid June. I wasn't accepted but I think people on the Facebook group weren't given check in date options until they were notified of their acceptance, as it's determined by availability and what role they were placed in.

People were only allowed to push back their date if they had finals on the only dates available (with proof) and after you confirm you're choosing fall advantage during your interview you can't switch to fall.

My son had Fall Advantage for this year, but also got a summer Professional Internship. His start date was five days after graduation, May 20. He did the PI first, then changed over to the CP, but got offered full time job after his PI. So terminated the CP and is now fulltime.

My DD is doing Fall Advantage now. I believe the check in dates were May 11, May 18 and June 8. She was assigned her date (May 18) when she was accepted in March. Since her graduation was on May 17, there was no way we could make it down there by 8am on May 18, so she was able to change to June 8. She did have to send proof of the graduation date to be allowed to change.

She could ask during her phone interview, but I am not sure when you have to make a decision on the school trip.
