Fall 2026 itineraries

Carnival just announced a batch of 2027-2028 itineraries today already! Including moving the Dream from Galveston to New Orleans.

Come on Disney get with it and give us the rest of 2026 for goodness sake! (I'm sure it won't be happening today with the Disneyland Anniversary, fingers crossed its soon though!!)

I was browsing their itineraries, and it's interesting that they have the Jubilee doing 6- and 8-night sailings going forward, as they move away from Costa Maya, now that it's a Royal port. So they're doing Bahamas on the 8-nighters including their new private port destination, and 6-nighters to Cozumel and Roatan. At least it gives some diversity of port options for the Galvestonians.

But yes, ridiculous that DCL is 2 years behind on itinerary announcements compared to the other lines. Odd way to run a business.

Yeah I really like those 6/8 splits. I think I mentioned several pages back in this thread that I wished Disney would have a ship do a 6/8 split! Offers more variety and opens up some further away port options on the 8-day ones especially!!

I’d be very interested in booking, depending on price…

I think they’d have success with the older ships doing this, but the pricing disparity really starts to rear its ugly head when you’re comparing DCL vs. Celebrity or Princess for those longer itineraries…. DCL might be skeptical they can compete on that kind of margin especially with older boats…

At the very least, I think they could try to test the theory with some new sailings out of PC… let the third ship up there alternate between several different itineraries for a season and see what proved profitable and popular.

I think they could do well out of PE with this.

Have the Destiny do 3/4n with a Saturday/Tuesday rotation (just so it’s not identical to PC) and have the Dream do 6/8 with a Sunday/Monday rotation.

Yeah - I was looking at Royal Caribbean’s ship Legend of the Seas that’s debuting in 2026 and they are doing 6/8 splits as well - 8 night Southern Caribbean alternating with 6 night Western Caribbean.

We have to wait another week????

Whats going on?
Two options- A big announcement is coming (not likely with the current port agreements) or the more likely cause- sales are soft and DCL wants guests booking their current offerings instead of focusing on ones later on. Considering the recent promotions (some stackable with restricted GT rates) and the new reduced deposit, I think it is safe to say it is the latter.

Could also be some last-minute changes to itineraries because of how soft the 3/4/5-night itins are, and they want to bake in some longer cruises, and they haven't been ready to publish yet. That's just one example. I'm sure if we looked carefully at cruise port schedules we'd probably be able to glean if any substantive changes might be announced. If there's no big itin changes coming, then yes, they're probably just trying to keep sales momentum going for their current-year sailings.

Loved Viva also Minor changes were made on Aqua. There was not the walk through buffet to get to the slide issue on the Prima and Viva. The theater is amazing on Prima, Viva and Aqua. The Indulge food hall is a great concept. I don't want to hijack this thread with another cruiseline but I am highest tier on both DCL and NCL so if you need to know anything specific message me. (Although the hijacking doesn't seem to matter much since we are all just waiting for the rest of 2026 to show up) (Normally would not care but a couple weeks ago my son's family finally decided they wanted to try a Disney cruise with my little grandkids and me. So where are those fall dates/??)
Thank you. I find reviews tend to skew negative on most ships and the you tube vloggers are always overly positive. I'm sure its somewhere in between. Other than DCL I've cruised on Royal and Carnival and some of my family has cruised on NCL. So far the only ship I haven't liked is the Wish.

We’re hoping that they send the Treasure to some new ports in fall ‘26. I know it’s a long shot but we would like to try that ship and it’s the only DCL ship ( excluding Adventure ) that we haven’t been on. But OMG… those same tired old ports 7 day western Caribbean (Cozumel, Falmouth) followed by a 7 day eastern Caribbean (Tortola.. which we love but have been to many times and St Thomas).

We're sailing with friends next year, they have only done 1 cruise which was Mavel day at Sea (Nassau and double dip Castaway). When we were looking at possible cruises, determined by sailing from florida and having to be at least 7 nights, meaning the Treasure, they got so excited about the Western, even though we tried to point out how much better the Eastern ports are. In the end the decision came down to dates, because we want to be sailing on someone's birthday which, if disney follow the pattern and don't make any changes, will be the Western. I really don't enjoy the Western ports (though George Town isnt too bad). Otherwise I guess its a ship day or 2 for us.

Hoping they do a little shake up, but I honestly don't see that happening.

I hope that those of you who want more long cruises get some really good options, but I would be surprised if Disney moved any of its bigger ships towards longer itineraries because there is just a smaller pool of people willing to pay Disney premium pricing for 8+ days. For our family, 3 is a bit short but we do them because they can be crammed into a long weekend missing only one day of school. 5-6 is ideal.

I think there is definitely a contingent of Disney cruisers who hold out for longer cruises and the unique itineraries seem to book well, but I suspect Disney would struggle to fill them if they dramatically increased availability.

The only ship we are going to be missing a year from now is the Treasure and my kids want to try it, but I really don’t think I need to be on any of the wish class ships more than 5 days…though I would like to see the Groot themed Marvel dinner show.

We don't need to look: there's definitely someone already doing this. The minute Disney pulls a permit, files at a new port, etc, some blog picks it up weeks before it's official. It's kind of amazing, really.
