Fall 2016 planning (continuation of 2016 Free Dining Watch)

I took my nephew when he was 10, and he liked it. He wouldn't say he liked it, but I caught him singing a few times and he had a big grin on his face when we left

That's awesome!! When we went in October 2014, meeting Anna and Elsa was one of the things they looked most forward to. Now, not so much lol.

Happy Sunday! I hope y'all had a Happy Fathers Day!!! I watched the Utube video for Soarin Around the World. It looks really good!!

I'm looking forward to ride videos from the new Frozen ride!

I am hearing very positive things about the Frozen show at DLR, but I doubt if I will be able to get my grandmunchkins to watch it. I think it will be too girly for them. Especially the 10 year old, who will be 11, going on 12 when we go.

I'm really excited to see the new Soarin, but my youngest informed me today that she wants to do the Frozen ride! She doesn't even watch the movie anymore. I thought I had Epcot FP all figured out, but I'm not sure now.

I just read that on the 2017 dining plan there will be no dessert for QS, but you'll get 2 snacks per day. Double the snacks means more to try at the F & W Festival.

I'm really excited to see the new Soarin, but my youngest informed me today that she wants to do the Frozen ride! She doesn't even watch the movie anymore. I thought I had Epcot FP all figured out, but I'm not sure now.

Frozen ride is a must for the kids so that will be the Tier 1 I book for EP day. Our return flight is at 7PM so I think we will do EP that morning and get FP for Soarin

I want to ride Frozen, but only to see how much it's changed since the Maelstrom days. Definitely not using a FP for it though, since nobody else cares about it in my family. Sooo likely not gonna happen for me haha.

We use baby swap so DH and I get different tier 1s (soarin and TT) and DS gets to ride one twice. It worked out great last year!

I just read an article stating that Disney is in the process as we speak of putting fences around all resorts on the lake, together with specific warning signs. Obviously to late for the poor Nabraska family, but this should never happen again.

Honestly I hope this is incorrect. There have been so many alligator sightings everywhere in WDW, however, there has been one attack. Fencing in every resort still allows alligators into golf courses, Disney Springs area, SOG, which I have seen MANY alligators in the waterway between SOG and the Poly, as well as roads and in the parks. There is a resident alligator in the MK near Tom Sawyers island!

It would be great for F&W, however any other time it, in my honest opinion, it would be a detriment. Especially with the ability to change out desserts, and drinks for snack items on the menu.

Also, during F&W, many people like to trade in counter service credits for three snacks at the festival. Does that mean you would now get only two?

I remember few years ago when you got two complete counter service meals as well as two snacks. The good old days, lol.

Oh the good old days of an appetizer and tips included! In the past I end up using my snacks the last day buying stuff to bring home. the swapping dessert for another item is new from last time I was there. We had a pile of chocolate cake in our room because my husband was the only one that ate them. I'm excited to be able to get something.....anything else!

We used baby swap last year too and my oldest loved it because he got to ride 7DMT 3 times in one day. My DD could have rode it 3 times but after the first time she said she would never go on that ride again, LOL!

I think the QSD plan used to have a desert with each meal (2 per night ) plus a snack and now they will lose 2 desserts and only gain 1 additional snack so they are definitely losing 1 dessert/snack. The regular Dining plan works out better because they keep their dessert with there TS meals but get an additional snack per day instead of a dessert with the CS meal. I like this new plan for the regular dining plan but not for the QS dining plan.

Also, Sunday was FINALLY my ADR day. I had been waiting for this day since I booked last October. We are a party of 9 and I had been stressing over being able to get reservations at the times we wanted for a party that size. Thankfully we were, with the exception of Garden Grill breakfast. It was the ONLY pre-park opening breakfast that did not have availability for 9 around 8am on 12/18. Strange to me...

Anyways, I booked on for my party of 5 at 8:10, but once I did that my friend couldn't find one until 9:10. So we will be stalking the site for an 8ish reservation for her.

We are also stalking for a H&V Fantasmic dinner package on 12/22. As of 30 minutes ago only lunch was released on that day. WHY can't they just release all times at once?!

I am not going to get any work done until I get Garden Grill and Fantasmic.

I'm so aggravated with the Fantasmic situation. I booked just a regular Minnie H&V on my ADR day to make sure I at least would have that booked. I've checked everyday for the Fantasmic to be added and then of course today I had to be out running errands when they were released. I called as soon as I found out but could only get for a party of 3 instead of 7. I just can't believe how fast they went.

Lol, that makes a lot more sense! I was visualising 10' high fences, making everything look ugly around the resorts!

Keep checking. I don't think there is anyway they all went that quickly. And they haven't even released all of H&V yet because it's not even an option for me.

I'm looking for the 11th. I ended up booking a party of 3 for my husband, daughter and me and then booked a party of 4 for my parents at Brown Derby. I don't think they could have gone that fast either so I've continued checking today and will continue too it's just annoying. I called and the CM was like the availability is very limited and she said maybe only 10 tables. I don't really believe how that could be possible since they charge more for it so you would think they would save more tables for the F! package than just 10 but what do I know.

ETA: I just found a table for 2 at 3:15 but that is so early

My kids would rather ride Thunder Mtn. instead of 7DMT, but it will be closed for our trip this year . Is it wrong that I still plan to try and get a FP for 7DMT because I like to ride it?
