I know it seems really early to be starting this, but there have to be others out there getting pumped up for Fall 2013 PI's!

Start posting here with what you're interested in, questions previous PI's might be able to answer, or interview tips so that we're ready when applications roll out (in about 4 months...)!!

:wave2:

YEAH! I'm pretty sure I'll end up doing a CP next fall but I'm going to apply for some PIs for the chance and the experience since I really want to do that after the CP at the least! It seems very nerve racking haha. I'm not sure which ones I want to apply for yet but my major is business.

Cori! I went to reply to this thread and realized it was started by you, haha. This is literally my first time posting on the DIS in months. Anyway, I'm going to be applying for Fall PIs as well as another CP, we'll see how it goes. :thumbsup2

Haha so's Molly (and Lauren, after she does her Spring CP)! It's going to be a Fall 2010 D-Fam Reunion for sure. What PIs are you looking at applying for? I'm hoping for a Restaurant Management PI but will be applying for the Communications ones as well!

I'll be applying for all Communications ones, and probably a DFTW one as well. :) The only issue with PIs is the whole required-vehicle thing...I currently do not own one... :worried:

I have a question. I know it's different for each PI but how long are they usually? 6 months? Do the fall ones mostly start in June? I'm wondering mostly about the marketing ones if anyone knows. I looked at the postings for spring but I didn't notice start days.

The applications for Fall will go up sometime in January and each one lists length of program and around when it starts. Many are about half a year, there are some that are full year as well.

I am pending for a PI right now, but till then I am doing the DCP. I most defiantly am applying for another PI in the fall of 2013. I know it will be Agricultural ones again, retail management, and not sure what else....do not know as of yet!

They usually vary in specifics, but most Marketing ones go June-January. Mine is June 14-Jan 5.

Some things I learned in applying for my PIs (accepted a position with Guest Relations starting in January):

If you have one, put your perner on your resume. They have to write it on there otherwise and might cover up important info you typed in.

Make sure to highlight skills that apply to your position. For example, in Guest Relations it is important to highlight your people skills not just your computer proficiency.

Thanks! I'll probably have to try more for the spring after that but I'll still do the CP so I can meet people :)
