For those of you who refuse to pay full price for UGGS. There are a couple of brands I have heard are good and they are BEARPAWS and EMUS. What are your feelings or your childs on these. I was going to get my daughter the real UGGS as I know she really wants them and I bid on a pair on ebay which I won only to get an email the next day saying that it was fraudulent. Figures I don't ever use ebay and everyone I talked to said it was real good and they had good experiences. I know I am covered but I am hesitant to bid again. So any thoughts on the two brands above would be appreciated. Thanks.

Check out 6pm.com

real deal uggs, good prices , last years styles, inventory changes frequently as does the prices, so check often.

Be very wary of buying trendy name brand items on Ebay-there are tons of counterfeits out there and selling them as real & authentic.

I have a pair of pink Bearpaws and LOVE them. I am batting around the idea of getting DD8 and myself each a pair this year (for Christmas, of course, LOL) I'd like either black or dark brown. Loved the pink but the suede got kind of dirty looking after a while.

I ordered mine from Amazon.

Woodkins thanks for the info unfortunately for me its too late. I mean I know I am covered through ebay and my credit card but it was just discouraging because everyone I talked to said that they had never had any trouble. I ordered a northface jacket the day before the boots. I hope that there is no problem with that it says it has shipped out hopefully it is the real thing. Wish me luck!

My DD and I both have BEARPAWS and love them. We live in Alaska and this is our 2nd year wearing them and the def. keep our feet warm.

My DD is 12 turning 13 soon and she has gone through 2 pairs of Uggs already! She is just rough with her shoes and both pairs ripped and were ruined within a couple of months of her having them. With the first pair I thought it was just a fluke so I bought her another pair. When she ruined those I told her I will not buy her another pair. I just went to Famous Footwear, they are online too, and got a pair of Bear Paws for her for $50. I did have a 20% off coupon though. She loves them! I personally have real Uggs, 4 different kinds and I love them and live in them in the winter.

My daughter lives in her pink Emu's. I did opt for the lower priced ones which are the Bronte. Not as plush as the Stingers. The Emu Stingers are exactly like uggs! They are gorgeous! That being said...I just caved ( Actually, Santa did ) and bought a pair of real Uggs for my DD8. My reasoning....she lives in her pink Emu's so much that I can justify the cost of Uggs because she will wear them constantly and therefor get her money out of them...plus...they fit me...so once she grows out of them they are all mine! Mwuhahahaha!!!

PS- A child size 6 is a womens size 8 in Uggs:goodvibes

DD and I both have Bearpaws and we love them. She really didn't want Uggs, then I got my Bearpaws and she liked them.

My dd has had Bearpaw but they fell apart before the season was over so I got her a pair of Emu. Those lasted the rest of that season and she is wearing them again this year. I would say they compare to my UGGs quality wise, the Bearpaw do not. This year dd is getting the real ones, I got a great deal and now that she is wearing my size when she grows out of them, I get them ;)

luvmy3 where did you find a deal on yours if you don't mind me asking? Was it at a store or online and were they the classic ones? Thanks.

My mom and I love love love our Uggs, but neither of us do knockoffs, ever. We got great deals last December (post-Christmas) at a local outdoor equipment company. I think it was around $150 for a type that's usually around $300. From what I've heard, the best prices are usually in January.

I ended up going through my Border's perks- Overwhelming Offers and getting a rebate of $50 from my purchase of $100 or more at Saks. They just recently changed the program to giving points instead of cash back so I'm glad I got them when I did, because I was not going to pay full price for them and she wanted the classics in black and they are never on sale. You can find the classics on sale at 6PM, or Eastbay and other online retailers but not in the regular colors.

I have checked 6pm for the classics but I did not see them. Do they change inventory daily?

I have a pair of Ugg boots I got for Christmas 2yrs ago, I'll still wear them but they stretched out so much they are really too big on me now. I just bought a pair of Ugg style boots at Costco, I guess they would be considered the Ugg tall. They were like $36 or something. Made of Australian shearling, made in China, just like the Ugg brand. They look and feel exactly like the Ugg brand. It hasn't been cold enough to wear them outside yet to see if they do as good a job at keeping my freezing cold feet warm and toasty.

I have a few pairs of real UGGS and I also bought a pair for myself and my daughter from Costco. They are the EXACT quality of my real UGGS and were only $36.99. I've recommended them numerous times to others who aren't willing or able to pay for UGGS.

Wish we had Costco around these parts...

DD13 has a pair of Bearpaws and is on her second year with them. They are still in great shape and she wore them almost every day last year. Her feet might sill grow a bit and no way would I spend the money on Uggs.

I'm going to look for Bearpaws for DD10 this weekend.

My 13yo DD has the ones from Payless. She got them a couple years ago and they are still holding up well.

And these only cost ~$20! Talk about a bargain! In the snow, no one can tell the difference and feet stay nice and warm. Paying more for a brand name is silly, IMHO. :confused3

I have not seen the Payless version but I can tell you from experience there is a HUGE difference in the quality of Target and Bear Paws vs Uggs and the higher line of Emus.

I can see not wanting to pay a $100 + for growing feet but to say you're paying just for the name isn't always accurate.
