Fake survey via email??

Hey guys. I just got an email claiming ot be from VMK asking for my oppinions in the form of a survey. I usually can spot a phishing attempt a mile away, but i cant figure out if this is valid or not. Anyone get the email?

I got the email, took the survey and was given a code for 100 credits for completing it. It's a legit email from VMK.

Maybe it's their way of seeing how and what we think about or of VMK.

The purpose of the survey is not to find out what you think of VMK.

The purpose is to find out whether or not the game is achieving two of its main goals (both of which were stated in an article in Wall Street Journal a LONG time ago before I even started playing the game.)

1. Is VMK making teens (particularly teen age boys) think the Disney parks are cool?

2. Is VMK working as a marketing tool to encourage more people to visit the Disney parks.

That said, it's an easy survey to take and it will net you 100 credits!

LOL, that was obvious from the start, and it worked for us. We are going next week. I got the email on 2 of my vmk accounts too.

The e-mail looked totally fake. The site that it wanted to send you to was numbers instead of words which to me, a non-computer geek, makes me uneasy. Also, the e-mail address that it was sent from didn't match a Disney domain that I recognized. I know that it's easy to fake who e-mails are from but little things like that make me feel uneasy. I'll do the survey. I need to save up for princess costumes.

Okay, here's the info that was on my email, the one that was legit from VMK.

To: "Virtual Magic Kingdom Player" <my email address here>

Subject: Take our Virtual Magic Kingdom survey and win 100 VMK credits!


The letter says how they value my opinion..blahblahblah, please take the survey.

The link to click to take the survey looks like this:
(http)://64.84.37.249/ussurvey/dis510_f/index.asp? ..and then a 10 digit PIN number on the end.

So, if this is what you got, it is legit!
