When is the Fairytale Magic Package extended until?

Another question - if you don't go to the parks every single day, if you like to take a day off...is it worth it? What makes it worth your while as a DISer who probably returns every year to Disney.

It has been extended to November 20th. I would say figure the cost with the FTP and then the cost of the room with a park hopper pass or your annual pass and see which would be the better deal for you.
It does appear that they are giving AP rates, so you might make out better that way

Think of it this way. You are only paying for 4nights/5days on the pass in the FT pkg. So even if you take a day off, you aren't paying for it.

PamNC, I have analyzed this to the hilt asI had just planned a trip for my Sis for dates that begin B4 the FTP, and we are going in AUG., when the dates applied. O.K. tHE MAIN "PLUS' I found to FTP is the UPH, coming and going as we please and not feeling like we used a full day off a hopper to go to Epcot for dinner etc. BUT, the cancellation policy is so much nicer if you do a room only ressie...5 days out. Now, I would def. do a room only as an AP hlder if my whole family had the AP anyway...but I couldn't afford to do that fo r 4, so FTP worked for us. I know there is travel insurance available, but our main concern is for loss of job, and that is not covered. At least that is what I was told. If I were an AP holder, and liked to take a day off, I would definitely get the room only/seperate booking...unless the resort you are hoping for does not have a decent AP rate out. I got CSR for my SIS AP rate of 83 a nite, incl tax. They are heading back in Dec. so that was the best choice for them.
Good Luck!

I'm not trying to be a smart aleck about this, but a thought crossed my mind when I read the above statement:

While you're not paying for the other 3 days, you'd be cheating yourself out of this deal if you use any of those days to do something else. (Example: go off property) Why purchase the FTP if you are not using all 3 free days that are included in the package? You may not be paying for those days, but you'd be cutting yourself out of the full bargin that is the FTP. JMO :)

Could the FTP actually benefit a DISer who goes out every year? I'd think people who visit annually get APs. I don't think the FTP is worth someone's while if they visit year after year. The FTP was designed for people who don't go out that often or people who have never been to Disney. The FTP was never intended for annual visitors. Sure they could buy into the FTP, but I think annual visitors would get a better value & savings to buy an AP.
