Fairytale Extended 11/20/03

From reading Mousesavers.com, they haven't changed the book until date, which is 6/29, only the stay until date which is 11/20.

Wonder if that will change?

I sent the info to Mary @ mousesavers last night when I saw it. I'm sure she checked it out real good before posting. I don't understand about this rumor stuff. Like you said it's on DU's website.

I called about it this afternoon & the gal said that it was the first she had heard about it being extended but would check on it for me --- she was very nice about it. A few minutes later she came back & said that I was right -- BUT -- they couldn't book anything yet -- she said to call back later tomorrow night (Wed.)!!
She laughed about how 'guests' know about things before they do!!!

Chiming in on a couple things...

1. I don't think FTP will be in effect over Thanksgiving, it's already busy and they don't have the empty rooms they apparently still have. The whole point of the FTP was to fill rooms that stood empty because no one was booking vacation earlier in the year, probably due to economy and Iraq war.

Will it come out for Dec...doubtful. I imagine bookings will be more normal with FL residents coming up for MVMCP and CP.

2. 1st week of December is very light...in the parks. Yes, last year, the resorts were sold out over some of that time period. But there were good Fl resident rates AND ALL of CBR was CLOSED! That's over 3000 rooms out of inventory. So far we haven't heard that any resorts (other than POFQ) will be closed. But POFQ doesn't take nearly as many rooms out of inventory as CBR did.

3. Looks like June 29 is the deadline. They want people to start planning ahead again so they aren't stuck with empty rooms a few weeks out. So if you want to extend your vacation into Nov., I'd make that decision this week.

This time the polite CM said yes it is being extended but the codes might not be loaded into their computer until next week. I wonder why does it take so long? Should I just keep calling back daily anyway? I want to change our August vacation to early November.

So if we cant book it until sometime next week and the offer ends June 29th that only gives the people who want to book the fairytale package for November a few days to book it before it expires. I would think they would have given us a little more time????

This is what I'm concerned about. While everyone else is excited about this package, I am thinking, "Great, we'll be waiting in long lines!" We booked our pool house way before Disney announced the FTP. We puposely chose this time of year bc. of low crowds. Now, well what are you going to do. There's always
Fastpass.

I just booked thru Disney Club as well!! She told me that you have to book by June 29. I think that may keep the crowds down because people wont have that long to book it, and they wont have much time to advertise it either. Woo hoo!!!!

Just booked Fairytale Package for my existing reservation Nov. 2 - 9th at Carribean Beach - codes are there for the reservation, so call now!

This is a great deal! We are getting UPH passes for $300 more than our room would have cost us for those 7 nights for 2 adults and 1 child. Can't beat this deal!

I still have a vaild Disney Club card which gets me an extra $50.00 off the total package price so this morning I called the DC# that was on their website and was told the codes wouldnt' be in til next week.

I read this thread a few minutes ago and tried again and was told the same thing. So just to see what would happen I called 407 WDISNEY.

I got a very helpful CM who quoted me 1758.00 for 3 adults 1 child at CBR 11/2-11/9. So then I mentioned I still have a valid DC card and after a few minutes she gave me a new package price of 1708.00!

I am so excited!

I just called & got our November 8 night stay changed. I booked the first night as 'room only' & will still get the free mini golf that is offered with the Disney Club. The next 7 nights are with the Fairytale Package. We also got $50.00 off the total with the Disney Club!!

My DU agent emailed me earlier that she tried today but my dates at the GF, where I already had a reservation, were not available I am so bummed about this, but hopefully a code will come out in July (fingers crossed)...

I am sooooo excited!!!!!! I got All Star Movies for Nov. 15 - 22. Yea! $1343.67 for 2 adults, 1 jr., and 1 child. I think the kids will really enjoy Movies.

Yaahooo, we just changed our existing ressies for Nov 15 -22 at Wilderness Lodge. We saved over $850.00. Now WDW owes us because we have been paying every month. I am so excited! Thank you everone for the heads up. Kim

I changed our reservations for 11/15 - 11/22 at the Wilderness Lodge woodsview.


The last time we were there in November we had quite a bit of rain, I hope this time it will be dry and balmy!

I booked my fairytale package yesterday and yes you only have untill June 29th. Also since I am staying a day after the pacakge expires I have to buy another night at the ASMO (My airfare was already booked so my dates could not be changed.). But I did get the DC rate of $69.00 for that night.

In total we saved $700!!!!

We are staying two days after the package expires and the CM told me that it did not matter as long as you check-in before the expiration date. Were you told something different?
