Just wondering if anyone has used this resort ?? Booked four nights there at the end of July for cash. Just want to know what to expect if anyone has experience.

Thanks !

We liked this place when we visited a few years ago. It's clean, located a short drive from most attractions and offers plentiful, fun amenities, including indoor & outdoor pools, mini-golf, playground, etc. Here's the website, which includes a resort map on the "Resort Tour" page.

The condos are in 2-3 story buildings (no elevators), set up as 3BR lock-offs, each one comprised of:

--- 2BR Deluxe - "A" side, with full kitchen, LR/DR w/table seating 6, king MBR suite w/large jacuzzi + separate shower, 2nd BR & bath, patio or balcony.

--- 1BR standard - "B" side, with efficiency kitchen along a wall (small appliances - everything, including d/w), LR/DR w/table seating 4 and a MBR suite w/standard hotel-type bathroom.

Every MBR has a king bed and each master bath has a stacked washer/dryer in its utility closet. Each MBR/LR has a 27" TV. 2nd BRs have a 19". The kitchens are well-stocked with everything you could need. We enjoyed our visit and plan to go back in 2005.

Fairfield Williamsburg at Kingsgate would easily be my first choice if visiting Williamsburg. The Marriott is a little more deluxe and also offers onsite dining and golf. We like to try area restaurants and eat in our condo and don't play much golf when traveling with our kids. Kingsgate is 10-15 minutes closer to most of the attractions, which adds up if you are doing frequent (lunch/swim) visits back to your resort while sightseeing in the area. It offers a great stay with a good combination of comforts, fun activities and nice rooms.

Looks very nice. Where did you call to make your reservations. We are booked at fords colony for easter 05. Fairfield seems to be more kid friendly and also closer to williamsburg. Please let me know cost and phone #. We have a great deal at fords colony, $132 per night for a 1 bedroom!!

We just got back from a trip to Marriott Manors Ford Colony...

It was in a great location, pretty close to everything. The 1brm was very nice, and they are very friendly there. They had alot of children's activities, like movie night and ice cream socials.

PM me is you want to know anything else.

Denise

We just got back from Powhatan Plantation in Williamsburg. We had a great family vacation! The historic triangle is fantastic and BG Williamsburg was fun, clean, beautiful, and VERY un-crowded!!!! Enjoy your trip....Lacee
